Big 12 Track Championships
I'm not sure if anyone has already linked this or not, but the Big 12 Track Championships are being hosted here in Lubbock this weekend. The first 2 days are already done obviously, but there is a day full of finals tomorrow. I heard from someone that it only costs $7 to get in. Go cheer on our runners/'fielders'.
If there is a certain event that tickles your fancy there is a schedule here.

Gil Roberts
For those of you who weren’t there, you missed a performance for the ages. For the first time since 2000, a baylor bear was not at the top of the podium for the Big XII men’s 400m dash. Gil Roberts from Texas Tech scorched the field by running a 44.86. For those of you that are not track savvy, he ran a fourth of a mile in less than 45 seconds. It was the 3rd fastest time in the world this year, only behind the 2 men who finished 1-2 in the 400 in the Olympics in Beijing, Leshawn Merritt, and Jeremy Wariner.
Wow! That's awesome!...Kitley, Spencer, and Leach all on the upswing now!
And I hope Pat Knight turns it around soon.
