PrintCongratulations to the Lubbock Christian University Chaps for winning the NAIA Baseball Championship! The game ended about 12:15 a.m. on Saturday morning as there were 30 hits in this exciting game. Both teams really played their hearts out trying to win this championship. I know this is not a Tech team, butit is a Lubbock team; one with a great winning baseball tradition. This is the first championship since 1983 for the Chaps. They wind up with 52 wins on the year. This is the type season I am hopefull of that we will get to see from our own Red Raiders in the near future. All of Lubbock will be celebrating when they awake to hear this news and they will be hopefull also that Tech can follow up with one of their own soon. Again, congratulations to the LCU baseball Chaps for a job well done.
