Nacogdoches Police arrested a former Lufkin Panther football star over the weekend who was stopped under a suspicion he was intoxicated.
McKinner Dixon, 22, of Lufkin, was arrested Sunday and charged with no proof of car insurance and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, according to a listing published in the (Nacogdoches) Daily Sentinel police reports Tuesday. He bonded out the same day of his arrest.

Not the best of news
Dixon, despite his football abilities, seems to have off-the-field issues that are escalating, in the wrong direction. I remember when he came out of high school and was so good his freshman year. I really hat this because I think he really is a good kid, just has some things he needs to address so he can get on in his life. I’m afraid, though, football may not ever be a part of his life again, sad to say. I do hope he can get his life straightened out, complete his schooling and be successful in life. Bye McKinner. It was nice having you around, short though it was.

iphoning it from BFE here so...
Can only read the fanshot. A. It I’d illegal to arrest a citizen for open container so obviously he wasn’t intoxicated or they’d have charged him. It is also highly suspect to arrest a citizen for no insurance. If this is how he goes out, it’s total BS, based ok what I’ve read.
