DTN's Community Projections // Edward Britton
DTN's Community Projections:
The Facts:
Not a bad year from Britton, but his best games were against Kansas (3-106) and Texas (7-139) which accounts for 245 of Britton's 577 yards last year (that's 42% of his total production in just two games).
What I Think:
It's all about consistency with Britton, he's got to get better each and every game. I also think that Britton has to expand his game from being solely a deep threat to a more well-rounded lineup that can get those intermediate catches and go deep as well. In fact, Britton had more receiving yards in 2007 than in 2008.

We have too many targets this year, and I think Detron and Swindall will both get more yards than Britton, probably more touchdowns, too.
He hasn’t been a consistent player for the last two years, so it’s difficult for me to assume that’s going to change.
After all is said and done, more is said than done.
I think
Im looking for a big season from Detron and Tramain and breakout seasons from Zouzalik, Torres, and Leong.

Ed Britton, Detron Lewis and Alex Torres will possibly be the main targets. I see them all with over 700 yards, with Lewis over 1200. Also, they each will probably have 10 or more TD’s apiece. Any of the rest could sneak in there, though, simply because the overall talent level is so good, including the backs. I see a lot of TD’s this year running and passing, so the wealth will definitely be passed around. If anyone falters, there should be someone very capable to step in and pick up the slack. Detron should show great improvement, because I think he has a lot to prove to himself, his dad, and the coaches and teammates. I feel his ego has taken a hit and he may have a pretty good-sized chip on his shoulder. Anywhere from 6 to 10 TD’s is reachable, but 10 would really make him and the team happy.
