Web Site Courtesy or reciprocity
Folks don’t know how often you look at other Universities web sites. But I look at or scout the TaMu , UT Oki e lite essentially all the Big XII sites from time to time. And generally the ones listed on Seth C’s links are good honest reporting with interesting stories from their vantage points. But one in particular the Burnt Orange Nation doesn’t have the Double T Nation linked on his/her site under the Big 12 sites.. it does have “Disco Tech” linked so the Red Raiders are represented. I was just curious is there a back story or just an oversight i.e. Seth links them BON but they don’t reciprocate and link us in? Again generally good Big 12 team content that supports the friendly rivalry and exchange of news note and fan mail. Anyone know why?
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Double-T Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Double-T Nation's writers or editors.

I was looking at BON, and you’re right. They don’t have Double T Nation or any other Big 12 SB Nation sites…no I am 12th Man, Rock Chalk, Rock M, etc. Some of them are even dead links or just to crappy blogs that pale in comparison to the ones mentioned. BON does say it has been around since 2004, which is actually pretty long as far as blogs go, so these links might just be dated and they haven’t bothered to update the link section.
They do, however, have the general links to other SB Nation blogs, that are broken down into different pro sports and then colleges. It’s not just in front of you, but Double T Nation can be found there. You just have to hunt a little bit.
It would be nice, though, if they had a more direct link, similar to how Seth presents it. But not everyone cares to manage their site as well as others. Heck, I am the 12th Man doesn’t provide any links at all, except the generic SB Nation links that I assume are automatically placed there when the site is set up.
Web site Etiquette
Right pcrwattu – just checking our collective traps. I try not to be sensitive but it appears to my untrained eyes that the well organized and creditable sites need to support each other. IE fight the natural tendency to slip directly into being a "homer".
I think with BON
Peter (proprietor of BON) listed non SB Nation blogs in his blog roll, which is something I’ve considered doing because it’s pretty easy to find most SBN blogs. I’ll also say that Peter is going through law school, so I’d imagine that he’s completely forgotten about it, much like I have. After seeing this, I realize I need to make some updates and delete some links.
All in all, I’ve never asked for a link, so that may be a reason why, and I originally put quite a bit of thought into my blogroll, but I’ve really ignored it over the last year and a half. Also, I don’t take it as any sort of slight if DTN isn’t listed. It’s not for everyone, so it’s not a big deal to me personally.
Go Raiders . . .
Double-T Nation
the only sites I've ever wanted to add to my blogroll
are SBNation sites, and I already have a widget that lists them, so I don’t need to add to it.
