Thanks DTN...
The last couple days have been really rough for me... i've had a friend from high school die, all kinds of stresses at work here in New Orleans, and i'm still not quite sure how i'm going to be paying for next semester back at tech... but with all that, i can still have a little time each day to get away and dive into Tech football and other sports (new interest in Track has risen with the posts here on DTN) I'm very thankful for this site in it's information it provides, the fun things that have come up like the best of lubbock and the smoking ribs stuff. the different personalities on here, young, old, somewhere in the middle. even the occasional troll that just stirs things up and shows how much emotion we have invested in our school and our teams. I'm not trying to get super emotional or anything, just had a moment tonight where i just felt good about things and realized that DTN played a part in that. so thanks to Seth and everyone that's on here for being active fans and talking and discussing and debating. WRECK 'EM!
(P.S. I'm currently planing for tailgate stuff for this next season with my college ministry, I'm hoping to be able to have a parallel tailgate technically unaffiliated with it so that me and some of my friends can drink too. I'll have my Slow Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwiches goin' for sure and you'll have to try em if you're around!)

I’m glad that DTN can give you some relief during your day. It’s funny/strange how something like the community at DTN can be such an escape, but to be honest, it’s an escape for me as well.
Go Raiders . . .
Double-T Nation
All are welcome
Here on DTN, we all welcome new and different approaches to Tech sports. Especially those coming from Red Raiders. I also am so pleased that this blog is here to escape the rest of the world a bit and get hyped about my favorite school’s teams. We are here to uplift everyone, well almost everyone, that blog on Seth’s space. And I like how everyone tries to keep it within reason, well almost everyone. Ha, ha. Even with the negative vibes being offered up by SOME people, weall still have a lot of fun here. May it continue.

Hey dude, I can’t say that I know what you are going through, but I am sure I speak for all DTN when I say I’m sorry for your tough times and I hope they get better real soon.

I understand how it is to lose someone close and have monetary problems, so I will be praying for your situation, if you are OK with that, as I am a Christian and I do live in the U.S.A., a nation built with a Christian base and mindset. Anyhow, I have also been going through some tough times-heart attack, bankruptcy, esophagul ulcer, layoff and job hunting for 7 months. But, all is under control now, or ongoing to betterment, and I have a job, working at Austin Lighthouse. This is a manufacturing facility locked in to government contracts, with the majority of the workforce being blind or vision emparred (no slack from my brother-he says it will be like the blind leading the blind). I am looking forward to exciting, new and different challenges. Keep the chin up “redraidersax”, give it up to the Lord, and all will be good.
