The NFL announced Tuesday evening that two more players will be eligible for selection in the supplemental draft, increasing the total number of potential draftees to eight.
Texas Tech DE McKinner Dixon and Tennessee DB Demetrice Morley will now join the other eligible players for the draft, which will be conducted at 1 p.m. ET on July 16.
Kentucky DE Jeremy Jarmon is likely to be drafted no later than the third round. Kansas State WR-RS Deon Murphy could be a late-round pick. The other six players — Western Kentucky LB Blake Boyd, Dixon, Southern Mississippi WR Torris Magee, Central Michigan OG-OT Joe McMahon, Morley and Florida State WR Corey Surrency — are unlikely to be drafted.

So sad
Dixon could have been one of the biggest parts in another great run by Tech this year when most people were not giving them any chance to compete for a major bowl. Apparently Dixon has decided to try and play in the pros, one season too soon, I think. The story states he probably would not be drafted. However, if any team wants to take a gamble on him, he could be a pleasant surprise for them, depending upon hoe his health is. I wonder if Harrell could stand a chance in this supplemental draft? Another interesting thing to watch for.
