I don’t think this Joel Klatt guy has watched an ounce of Tech football. Tech has plenty of receivers and will do just fine without Mr. Crabtree. Will he be missed? Hell yeah, but the rest of the team actually did show up and kept scoring touchdowns and producing yards when Crabtree was hurt or not producing as much. Just a typical “journalist” that doesn’t do his homework, looks at a few stats, and starts making assumptions. Typical preseason bandwagons.
And really…how reasonable is it for one team who has just gone 11-2 that has been contiually rising (and not had a losing season since before the big 12 was created) to drop below a team that just went 4-8 the year before and has a very long history of losing? Although that would be a great story for Baylor, you gotta look at the facts and give some credit where its due. Until Tech proves (or at least shows one slight glimmer of horridity) that it belongs in a class between Baylor and AtM, I’m pretty sure Tech has earned at least an ounce of respect.
WTF
Is it just me or does Baylor have the best PR Team in the world? They have Robert Griffin and thats it!!! I tell you one thing Briles would make one hell of a used car salesman if he can sell Baylor as being the program on the rise. Geeeze. I look forward to the reality check for both Baylor and X$U.
10-2 is my prediction and our two losses wont be to who you think. 1 loss to either Oklahoma or Texas and 1 loss to either Nebraska or OSU.
The talking heads don’t realize Leach has had better and better recruiting classes since he has arrived. Which means the guys stepping up were more sought after than the guys they replaced. I believe thats called progress and it usually involves moving forward not backwards.
Can’t wait until kickoff!!
Best PR team?
I totally agree that it’s a ridiculously bold statement for him to pick us 5th, but BU does have more than JUST Robert Griffin. endall Wright is a stud, Jay Finley is a solid RB, Jordan Lake at safety and Joe Pawelek plus that HUGE penn st. transfter DT on D…they are a pretty solid team. I don’t think they will beat us, though I do think they make a bowl this year. Just sayin’ that definetely do have more than just Robert Griffin, and we need to respect them or we could very easily lose (last year comes to mind).
