Coach Leach, Talk to Crabtree

Coach Mike Leach,

I know you're a busy man especially this time of year, but would you mind taking a little time to talk to one of your former players, Michael Crabtree?  We know he's been given some questionable and contradictory advice in the past by his family, and some down-right ignorant advice by his cousin.  But now it seems his current agent, Eugene Parker, is trying to throw him under the bus.  It just doesn't seem like his advisers have his best interests at heart.  So, please, pick up the phone and spend a few minutes with him and tell him to sign the contract and play some football.  We all know that's what he really wants to do.

Thanks,

Texas Tech Red Raider Fans

Ditto

Although, after Leach’s nightmare salary tussle this past winter he might not care to intervene. I really think Crabtree has the talent to be a successful, probably monumental, NFL receiver. But he can’t do a thing sitting in his apartment. I say get on the field and let your play dictate future negotiations.

I just hope someone talks some sense into him

Not sure

I’m not convinced it’s just everybody but Crabs at this point. He should have taken some responsibility for this mess and made a deal even if the money isn’t exactly what he thinks he’s worth at this time. He needs to be on the field and if he’s all of what we know he is than the rest of the money will come. He’s a big boy now and it’s time to settle this mess. He is making a huge mistake by not playing this season over the money. If he sit’s out it will only get worse for him. Welcome to the big league. I wish him the best but he needs to grow up and get on the field. I’m sure the money being offered isn’t offensive.

I know I’m being naive about this, but I really think his advisers (that includes his family members) are giving him bad advice. I’m still hoping he does the right thing and signs.
