An unimpressive week for our opponents.

Not a great night for our opponents as a whole.

Combined Season Wins and Losses: 15-8
Week 2 Wins and Losses: 6-4
Most Significant Win: UH defeats OSU.
Most Significant Loss: See above. OSU begins its descent out of the Top 20.
Least Impressive Win: The winning teams did what they had to do (we could nitpick about Kansas). It was a particular loser who really stunk up the joint.....
Worst Loss: KSU (ranked 76) loses to ULL (ranked 95). I don’t count the UH v OSU game, because I’ve thought from the beginning of the season that UH is that good. If any team is ‘this year’s Texas Tech,’ its definitely UH. OSU and Gundy are the great pretenders.
Biggest Upset Win: None this week. I expected UH to be good, so their win doesn’t really count as an upset
Biggest Upset Loss: See KSU.
Number of Opponents in the Top 25: Only 1 (UH v OSU)
Number of FCS Opponents: Just 1 (OU v Idaho State). Interesting Factoid: Half of the Big 12 has played more FCS teams at this point than UND.
Number of Opponents in the Bottom 40: Five. Aim High!
UND Fighting Sioux Update: Joel Schwenzfeier named Great West defensive player of the week after his 3 interception, 7 tackle performance against TTU. From now on, whenever Potts makes a bad play, maybe we should call it a "Schwenzfeier Moment’ or ‘Potts pulls another Schwenzfeier...’’ ":)

I listened to Tech Talk last nite

I listened to the UH Offensive coord. Dana Holgerson. He was pretty cool. He basically said the same stuff as Leach play 60 minutes, stretch the field, nothing is as good or bad as it seemed during the game. So I agree the Houston game is a big tough deal. I watched the OSU vs. UH game as well. Case Keenum is a top flight QB. The UH defense exposed the OSU offense. And we had better get up 2 scores fast on these guys with no special teams mistakes down in Baytown.
