Texas Tech offensive lineman Brandon Carter, the day after a frustrating last-minute loss at No. 17 Houston, told followers of his social networking account that he’d been suspended and stripped of his captaincy.
A Sunday afternoon dispatch on Carter’s Twitter account said, "I am not a captain anymore and will not be playing this week. Good luck red raiders ill still be cheering on my family from the stands!!:)"

Glad I'm not the only one in an emotional tailspin after that fiasco

Marlon Williams what the fuck
Linebacker Marlon Williams, in a Sunday afternoon post on his Twitter account, wrote: "Wondering why I’m still in this meeting room when the head coach can’t even be on time to his on (sic) meeting."——-

Oh boy. Are the wheels falling off?
I do not like the tone of Marlon Williams here.
I’m trying to stay positive…..I just got back from Houston and I am still trying to get over it……we are young and it was an intense (& hot / humid) crowd. We CAN learn from this and move on.
However, my positive thinking took a hit w/ the news.
I’ll sleep on it…..

HMMMM...
Brandon Carter deleted his twitter account and his facebook account today… This is so weird/awkward. I am not digging this season at all right now. I really wish we knew what he did.

Me, too
I wonder if he jumped his teammates out for screwing the pooch. Or maybe the coaches. Did he act the fool out of frustration or was he trying to light a fire under some folks? Lack of leadership has been mentioned a few times around here lately. Maybe he tried but in a way Leach didn’t like.
I mentioned it elsewhere, but maybe the upside is that we get a headstart on rebuilding the rest of the O-line. We lose Byrne, Carter, and Winn after this year. I don’t want to start next year with the same issues that have hurt us this season.

i was at the game too. i actually grew up in houston and i even consider that a very humid/hot game.
i dont think leach should blame the players here. if he would have only gone for the 3 point kick on that 4th & goal (when we only needed 3, a touchdown was not necessary) we would have won. i realize that our kicking isnt the best, but williams wont miss when we’re on the 1 yard line… seriously
sucks about carter. dont know why. maybe he smarted off to the coaches after that failed QB sneak. but at least he’s only out for the new mexico game.. i mean, i’m pretty sure A&M annihilated them this year… BUT GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER TEAM!!! there were too many dropped balls this game. thank God for Batch being back, or this game would have been at lot worse. i’ll also give potts a little slack since this was his second away game… ever, but he did play better last week. dont know what the deal was, it sure wasn’t crowd noise. they set an attendance record at this game of 32,000 something…. not a real difference maker there…
I just hope we improve by Nebraska, OK State, and OU, heck. even baylor…..

It's not just one game
the suspension is ‘indefinite’.

Carter's suspension is indefinite - not one game

Leach is a joke
I guarantee you that Carter called Leach out in the locker room. He’s not the only player who is tired of the captains play-calling, he just the only one big enough to say something

Willing to put money down
that Carter called out Leach, if you read his and Marlon’s tweets, both of them mention that they are frustrated with how this year has been going, I bet that they have some issues with someone big time, whether that is Leach, or Potts or someone else altogether I don’t know… but I talked with Graham Harrell the other day on fb and he said that this Houston game will be a predictor of what the rest of the season will be like… boy was he right, we are already melting down!

He destroyed the visitors locker room at The University of Houston after the game
That’s what they say at the ESPN site at least.

I sense this season will be one we discuss down the road for a lot of reasons. No, not because we go 10-2.

Just when the O-line was starting to dominate everyone. [dripping sarcasm]
