Good Bye to the Double T Nation
It seems that I am not welcome anymore here at DoubleT Nation. Seth has made it very clear that he is looking for any reason no matter how microscopic to ban me. So I told him to go ahead and Ban Me. I speak the truth no matter if he does not like it. Yes its his site and he can do what he wants on HIS site.
But its sad that Seth can not accept person criticism nor admit when he is wrong. The Reason. I told Seth he needed to calm down after he wrongly accused me in an email. Then we traded email where I told my position and he then said he made a mistake. The issue Seth accused me of calling Potts a Mental Midget. One other is that Seth demanded proof of some posts he made. Unfortunately, Its not possible for me to pull those back up because Those posts are not found anymore. Wether those post were removed for memory issues or not IS UNIMPORTANT.
So if you want to know what it is that demands that I be Double T Nations #1 Enemy take a look at my previous posts and see if it deserves it.
I tried to make peace with Seth and all I got was threats.
So Good bye.
And Seth, Leave this up or you will prove once again how petty you really are.
PM

My Stomach Hurts and My Dog Ate My Homework!
Good Grief……if there was ever a case of needing to get a life….this is it. Pablo, you are taking this WAY too seriously. Just like you did over the years when you called for various coaches to get fired without thinking about the consequences of what you would be doing to individuals and their families.
You gotta lighten up son. Irreplaceable? Fill up the bath tub with water. Put your hand in the water. Remove your hand. See how long before that space fills up. See you down the road.
Seth
i say leave it up so the rest of us can see how childish this is
Everyone else…
come on guys… chill
Wreck 'Em Tech!
J.T.H.
Apocalypse Now
Smell that
Burning Bridges son, nothing else in the world smells like that.
I love the smell of burning bridges in the morning. You know, one time Seth blasted a poster for 12 hours. When it was all over, I logged on. We didn’t find one of ‘em, not one stinkin’ whiney post. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole blog smelled like it.
victory, Some day this blogging thing is gonna end…….

VIVA LA FIGA!
I say shake hands and make up
Life is too short for this kind of nonsense. We are all Red Raiders and I think we all want what’s best for Tech. Rise above all the name calling and bickering and agree to disagree if necessary. Pablo, you have to respect Seth for being the gate keeper of this site. Like it or not it’s his baby and he has an obligation to call people out every now and than otherwise we become Texags.
Rule Number 1
…dont piss the guy off who is in charge who makes this enjoyable for everyone. This is a Red Raider blog, I do believe the Aggies have a blog on here as well. I figure you will blend right in.
Since I know that you’re reading this, it’s not (only) Seth that has a bit problem with the way you post when you are excited about something. Just like now, you’ve overreacted.
Pablo, you’re welcome to stay here, as is anyone. But you have got to be willing to calm yourself when you’re upset. I hopped on after the UH game to find 20+ posts by you demanding the immediate removal of Potts for various reasons, the most offensive of which being that he didn’t possess the mental agility to run the offense. Once you calmed down, you were able to post about why you feel Potts should be benched as a wake-up call and that was ok (though a little obsessive).
This is similar to now. Dramaful goodbye posts rarely ever accomplish anything useful. In the best, they do nothing. In the usual, they tarnish a poster’s reputation, and those that attempt to paint another individual as the bad guy come off petty.
I think a lot of us are a bit dramatic at times thanks to the passion we all feel for our school.
But let’s not crucify the guy here…that doesn’t do anyone any good, either. Send him a private message if you have issue with him, but don’t lecture to him on the board. That serves zero purpose…much like the original post serves zero purpose. While his post looks a bit petty, lectures look a bit high and mighty. Neither is productive.
The Houston loss obviously had a pretty freaking big impact on some of us, didn’t it…
+1
I had no idea what was going on, and still fully don’t, until PM’s post.
Folks, I like Tech football as much as the next guy. But we have to keep it in perspective. Sports, contrary to ESPN’s opinion, are NOT important.
We would all like to see Tech build on last year. If they do, will it mean anything in the “Big Picture”? If they don’t, will that matter likewise? The answer to both questions is NO!
The Steelers, Lakers, Phillies, Penguins, Gators, and Tar Heels all won championships in their respective sports this year. Does it truly make a difference in the world today? No.
My point is: Yes, let’s get excited and pull for our team. But, let’s keep it in perspective. I was totally pissed at 1:15 a.m (EDT) Sunday when the final horn sounded. But by that afternoon, I was over it. There are more important things in life to be this passionate about.
My two cents anyway.

Agree w/ Raider '92
Life is too short for this. Seth wrote his feelings and reset the expectations for posting on the site. I say move forward and abide by the rules for posting.
If anyone doesn’t want to play by Seth’s rules, then I guess they need to find another avenue to share their opinions. For me, the benefits we get from all of Seth’s work maintaining the site overrule any disagreement over being able to say what you want without accountability.

Don’t sweat the petty things and don’t pet the sweatty things. Don’t know why but I always try to fit that quote in somewhere. Seemed to apply here. Other than that…I believe we have a game this week. Guns up!

I swear I just left that same quote in a FanPost....... hahaha

I think
Everyone involved in this “controversy” should just get over it. Pablo should not be banned but at the same time he should listen to the requests of the Site Manager, Seth. Whether or not you think saying a certain thing is a big deal is irrelevant. Personally, I do not think you should be banned, but if Seth requests something of you, considering he is in charge you should listen. Up until Pablo proves he cannot be trusted to listen to what Seth requests, he should still be allowed to post on this site.
Also
Pablo, you should not be calling Seth out in a post on HIS site. If you have trouble with him it should be between you two. On second thought, maybe you have proven already that you can’t be trusted… I don’t know enough about it I guess.
POTPOURRI OF PERSON-ANAL-TIES
is what makes this blog so Great. We have the Pablo’s, the Tweeners, and the As8 kissers. All are needed to keep that harmonious fix of Texas Tech Athletics running fresh daily.
I agree with that. I also agree people like me probably shouldn’t name call. None of my criticisms are without merit, but I could probably cut out some of the hyperbole and aggressiveness towards players. But if we ALL felt the same on every topic, I am pretty sure the forum would fail pretty quickly.
My two cents
This is the best blog on the net for TEXAS TECH FOOTBALL bar none! I don’t agree with the majority of the posts, but I do enjoy reading them. And Pablo’s posts, while over the top, were never skipped over and not read. I never want to see this blog degenerate into one of the many disgusting blogs on the internet. Seth called me out on a post last year for being to critical of the AJ sports writers (they were correct about the OU game) and suggested that I tone it down a bit. Point taken. Seth does a great job maintaining the flow of info about my team, the Red Raiders and for that I am greatful. Wreck’em Tech!
The problem isn't that people misunderstand your good intentions
The problem is that you are wrong about things at a truly alarming rate.
Pablo - I have to say it's awfully hard for me to believe your story...
… is exactly the way that you have presented it.
Maybe Seth has finally had to resort to giving you some of that “Hard Love.”
Wow
Like we don’t have enough crazy stuff going on right now as it is. Let’s all take a breath, eight more games to go. It’s going to be all good.
Dude, this is so uncalled for......
Making a dispute between you and the site admin. public is……… why bother.
You shot your mouth off quite a few times. Sometimes for the better and sometimes not. This is really a childish way to go about this…..
Did he delete his account or just get off this particular board?

When I have posted I try to be as responsible as I can about what I write. If I go overboard, I do hope Seth or someone helps me to pull back a bit and rethink what I posted. While all of us try to do the same, we will all, I imagine, go over the top at times. As far as I can tell, though, no one here has been as bad as many of the visitors that frequent the AJ and ESPN blogs. That is because Seth does have some rules we must abide to, all in the name of making this a family-like affair. I would not go off on a family member in front of everyone else unless it was in answer to something that was really out in left field. That is why, when religion and politics-and sometimes sports, since I do live in Longhorn territory-are discussed, my voice is usually quiet, to a degree. No, I am not perfect. Neither is Seth, Tech92, PabloM, KWashburn, Logan5555, or many others who post here. But it is in the interest of good sportsmanship to vanilla things down a bit to keep the fire at a controllable level. We all burn with Tech love and are extremely happy that Seth has provided one of the better, if not the best, sites we Raider fans can go to and “hang out the wash”. I hope Seth and PabloM can get past this and we can continue to enjoy (?) his posts. Otherwise, I am happy to have this blog as an outlet to spout off about my views, skewed as they might be. As mentioned above, I hope this is the llast time we have this type thing happen here, and we do have a game against New Mexico this weekend to look forward to. So, Red Raiders, GET YOUR GUNS UP and WRECK ’EM, TECH!
TTpilk
You my friend are a wise elder statesman, and I for one always read what you and a couple others here have to say. I’m in DTN because of communitiy members such as yourself Pilk. I bet you’re the type of guy who doesn’t get mad in traffic, and that’s the fellow I’m striving to be. I know that we have quite a few gentlemen here such as TTpilk, gentlemen who have raised families, have been with Tech through ups and downs. And I appreciate you old coots:) Seth and our contributing front pagers do something I have no talent for, but that doesn’t mean I can’t recognize talent and hard work. Godspeed Pilk and Seth, may we all take this community to the high road.
And one more thing…
Give ’em hell Tech!
I know Seth has created a site here that has a higher standard than most sites on the internet. DTN sticks out like a pumpkin in a watermelon patch if you ask me. But I’d much rather he be too strict, than not strict enough.
This whole thing has me thinking about some of my posts by the way. Some have been borderline at least, if not too critical of players or even other posters(beergut comes to mind). But we all should think before we post.
this is like when ross and rachel break up with friends
nobody really knows how to respond… you dont really feel for either side too bad because it was a problem from both sides… now Pablo has managed to make it awkward
Pablo M,
A bad move on your part my friend. First of all, I was unaware of the controversy, but am surprised to see you actually defending your comments about Potts. If I understand your letter correctly, you’re calling a 20 year old kid a ‘mental midget’ and trying to justify your comments. Are you kidding me?
The guy is a college player. Don’t you remember some of Harrell’s, Kingsbury’s and others’ gems over the years? He is a talented athlete. Losing is part of learning. Hopefully, Potts and the other Raiders will all learn from their mistakes and become better players. One of the potential risks going into this season was fielding an inexperienced team. We’re seeing the growing pains before our eyes.
This loss goes to the coach who is deserving of (constructive) criticism for a number of ill advised calls, particularly the fourth down call.
Seth has a right to keep the tone and tenor of this blog to a certain standard, and you are entitled to exercise your option to leave the site as well as state your position here.
Having said that:
“The right to be heard does not automatically include the right to be taken seriously.”
- Hubert H. Humphrey
This whole thread is a good example of why some people don’t take Tech seriously. It’s making us ALL look exceedingly foolish.
Ones and zeros
At the end of the day, this is nothing more than ones and zeros flying around a silicone ether, devoid of any real effect on any of our travels through time.
So be like Sammy put up your Jazz Hands and Smile!

VIVA LA FIGA!
I really didn't want to comment
on this, but I’m just leaving it up for posterity reasons. Perhaps some day we’ll all talk about this day and you’ll all tell me how big of an ass-hat I am, or how petty I am, or any of the other allegations, but it’s going to get pushed off the page sooner rather than later (hint, hint, hint).
Go Raiders . . .
Double-T Nation
Goodbye To The DoubleTNation
Seth, I like your stance on this. PabloM: Let it go and lets support this forum.

Good job Seth
Seth has done a great job creating a blog that is informational and entertaining. He has established a blog that Tech fans can enjoy and where we can feel free to express our thoughts about our teams. I agree that we need to be civil in our comments. Seth has done a good job in keeping trolls under control and encouraging those with derogatory or defaming comments to keep them at a minimum. It has made for a more enjoyable atmosphere. If anyone can not follow his example, then he/she should not blog with us. Thanks Seth for all you do.
Let’s keep it in perspective. It’s not life or death. It’s just a game. My best friend’s son was horribly wounded recently in Afganistan, sp?. He is facing many surgeries and months of recovery. Puts it in perspective for me. I ask that we all remember what’s important. Forgive and forget but be vigillant.
