Leach v. TTU: Why This Case IS Important To Everyone In America

Lubbock, Tx.—Attorney's for Mike Leach filed a third amendment today to the initial petition in the case of Mike Leach v. Texas Tech University.  The case is being heard in the 99th District Court in Lubbock County Texas.

This amendment puts forth a very different picture than the one that has been portrayed in the media and by the university since the story first broke

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Double-T Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Double-T Nation's writers or editors.

The Link is to my story

published on Bleacher Report.

I have followed this story and Double T since it broke and have written four articles, which many here at DTN have enjoyed, sorry if you don’t.

Thanks – SM

I’m trying to tell folks that if you’re just linking to another article, that this might be best as a FanShot rather than a FanPost. A FanPost is supposed to be your opinion on the matter and it appears that this is just a copy and paste. Plus, I really hate the Bleacher Report.

Seth

Sorry to offend, I usually do Fan Posts on other SB blogs and since I was linking to my own article I thought this qualified.

But why the hate for Bleacher Report?

Thanks – SM

To reiterate

if you’re just linking to another article, then a FanShot is the best way to go. If you were giving your own commentary here on DTN about the process, then that’s one way to go with a FanPost.

Re. the BR, I typically do not think that the articles on BR are not well written and I tend to think that the BR is more about hits than fostering a community (which I understand they may not be trying to do).

Seth,

OK, I’ll use the FanShot from now on, sorry.

BR has about 20,000 registered writers and some of them are crap. Actually some are just horrible but there are also some pretty good writers and journalist on the site.

Most of the featured writers are pretty good and those are the main ones that BR tries to syndicate.

The ‘community’ part is lacking and that’s why I come to ATVS and DTN but BR does give a voice to all levels of fan journalism so I think it is a great spot.

Just as every Red Raider can’t be painted with the same brush (you and TallMike for example) every Bleacher Creature isn’t a poor writer. I hope I’m a good example but maybe you think I suck! :-)

Anyway, I’ve enjoyed following your blog. Thanks – SM

I don't know the reason

I’m not sure if it is smart on the part of our admin to make this a public event. I mean why do we have to go to the media with every little update on what’s going on, instead of settling it internally. I mean it makes no sense. It’s the callous handling of this whole situation that’s bringing in unwanted spotlight to this case.
