Glad Russell got a job right away.

Is it just me, or does that Dooley guy have that weird cross-eyed look?

Good lick for Coach Russel, he has done well the past two years.

This is an example of the turmoil of the college coaching profession working out favorably.

Congratulations to Russell

He will do well at the real UT. And I don’t know if anyone else read some of the comments there, but Willie Mack Garza is the UT defensive backs coach. All there feel he has done a tremendous job with the defensive backs and he is the reason they have had such a good defensive backfield. For some of you who may not know, Garza played football at TEXAS TECH. He was widely recruited out of high school as a running back, but wound up playing defense for the RED RAIDERS. So, Tennessee is sporting a pretty nice connection to TEXAS TECH>

Shows the importance of not burning bridges

Russell was Dooley’s special teams coach at La Tech before he left to come to Lubbock. Good relationships are important in all business, but especially in the coaching business.

I believe he will also coach the Tight Ends at Tenn.

Best of luck to Coach Russell.
