Graduated high school from this place so my brother just dropped a text on me about this. Looked it up on the local newspaper website to confirm. So much for the one reason to watch Rockdale play this year.

He will be well healed by the time he arrives onto the Tech campus. However, this will be something to watch closely as the same area becomes more susceptible to damage. I wish his team well and a complete and speedy recovery for Derek David.

I thought it was he had switched his commitment to the evil empire. Needless to say I was a little relieved it was just a broken ankle. But he should be able to recover from this and be ready next season.

I cannot imagine a more difficult scenario for a hs senior.
For him, I lament the lost opportunity to play great football as a hs senior.
Also for him, I wish every possible happy wish that he recovers 100%—these type injuries are not automatic—and that his career at TTU is as memorable as he hopes.
