Big Recruiting Visits this Weekend
We have some big time recruits coming into town this Friday (12/10/10). We have B.J. Dubose, Derek Edwards (Commit), Marcus Kennard, and Brandon Fulse coming in. Obviously I hope we sign them all, but the biggest haul of the bunch would be Brandon Fulse. The man is a beast and he is someone that will give us two solid go to tightends pairing up with Jace Amaro. We have to get this guy.
GUNS UP!!

Are the students still on campus?
If they are you would think they would be knee deep prepping for finals. I suppose the kids can’t travel until their HS football season is over. It just seems like an odd time to show the place off.
I posted this on another site the other day about Fulse and Amaro...
I get chills thinking about Fulse, 6-4, abt 250, 4.8 at Y and Amaro, 6-6, abt 235, 4.5 at Z…..wowsers…
running or passing that would be a load for any defense’s strong side.
Not that such a line up would ever occur if they were both here.
as for me and my house, we chose the Lord.
Tight ends
I have been noticing a trend of fast, athletic tight ends that are lining up in the slot just as much as they are lining up with their hand on the ground. Look at Aaron Hernandez, Antonio Gates, Jermichael Finley, Brandon Petigrew, Dallas Clark etc. They are sure handed, big targets and are frequently targeted on 3rd down or in the red zone. I’m looking forward to having a decent option at TE that can provide us with a max protect option or another threat in the passing game.
My dad’s friend said that his son knows Jace very well and that he is a tremendous young man who loves Texas Tech and can’t wait to get here.
Do you think he plays as a true freshman?
Odds?
What are our realistic odds of getting commitments from Fulse and the others (besides keeping Edwards). Recruiting is critical if we are to rebound strongly in the next two seasons. BTW, I checked our roster and we have just over 16% Seniors. I think that helps, but since most are freshmen it means a gap in the Junior and Soph. classes.
FULSE
I doubt we get Fulse he is also Considering:
Florida State, Miami Hurricanes, Auburn , Alabama
he is from Florida so i think we are probably his last choice.
but… Alabama already has a higher rated TE commit.
if we get him that would mean tubs is a really good salesman.
Whoever said, 'It's not whether you win or lose that counts,' probably lost.
Ramik Wilson
Any news on Wilson? ESPN reports several players that have Tech listed as their first choice. Who else do we have a reasonable shot at getting this year?
