Unreal

Do they look as lazy and uncoached on tv as they do live? Nothing like driving 1 1/2 hours to watch this catastrophe of a team

by allknowing on Feb 16, 2010 8:31 PM CST via mobile reply actions

What do they do at halftime? Sing Kum Bah Ya?

Because they definitely don’t make adjustments.

Came on to join the party...

but it sounds like I’m better off watching LOST. Kind of ironic. At least with Tech BB we are consistant.

I can't wait for baseball season.....

Dan Law Field and Minute Maid Park are 2 of my favorite places to watch baseball.

My favorite place was Rosenblatt field in Omaha

Old home of the CWS. They changed it now though, bastards.

by RdrPwr on Feb 16, 2010 9:29 PM CST up reply actions

Speaking of old homes for baseball.....

The Astrodome still reigns supreme in my book.

Never witnessed a baseball game there,

Just the Houston livestock show and rodeo every year of my young life. Hell of a building. I dont like Reliant as much. I do love Minute Maid though. The train!

by RdrPwr on Feb 16, 2010 9:34 PM CST up reply actions

I watched Pence murder some baseballs at Minute Maid.

Highly underpaid jewel of a player. They don’t call him Over the Fence Pence for nothing.

No doubt, hell of a player.

My mom insists that my first born son must be named after him haha.

by RdrPwr on Feb 16, 2010 10:05 PM CST up reply actions

I went to several Astro games there in ‘67-’69. Even went to see them when they were the Colt 45s in some outdoor stadium with mosquitos bigger than me. Oddly enough, my mother was a big baseball fan.

Also saw UH beat Tulsa there in football, 100-7. Never thought much of UH after that.

In all fairness… how often to you get a chance to go triple digits in football? I would push for it.

by RdrPwr on Feb 16, 2010 10:17 PM CST up reply actions

They did

They put the first string back in in the 4th.

You gotta remember I’m old school. I learned my football ethics from Tom Landry and Vince Lombardi. It’s a generational thing.

My mother had a Colt 45 bobble-head doll (still in the box) I always had an eye on. But my little brother beat me too it.

Sweet! Not for you but that's cool you guys have that.

I have a few old hats, tickets, and old t-shirts. A bobble head would be a good piece to have……

That old ball park where they played was sacred ground for my late grandfather. He loved his baseball. He could still put it down the middle at 76 years old with fire on it. 78-82 MPH and hard. Crazy old man.

Back to basketball – we still suck…..

Okay

I had visions of Eric Morris wearing that little Elf suit with those pointy shoes and bells. I was gonna be standing on the other side of the tailgate crowd – with everyone else.

But that’s what I get for dreaming it in my head.
