the press

everytime we see full court pressure, it’s like it’s the first time.

point guard

based on the last couple of possessions, I think I’d rather have Darko running the point than Mike Davis.

And they pull away

The Cats are pulling away. If Tech does not stop the leaks now, the game will slowly get out of reach….typical for this year, so far.

TTpilk Psalm 117:

Awful game

I don’t know what is going on with this team, but I know Singletary is a whole lot better basketball player than what he has shown tonight, even the whole year. Something wierd is going on and we won’t know for a while, but it sure is not good. JMO.

Well

No post season this year. Sad, sad, sad……

Somehow

But it will be close. They need to win at least two more games, I think.

TTpilk Psalm 117:
1 ¶ O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

Just a thought

I wonder how this team would have done this year if Dickey had been the coach…..???

TTpilk Psalm 117:
1 ¶ O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

by TTpilk645 on Feb 23, 2010 9:08 PM CST reply actions

we have 2 problems: shooting and rebounding.

We are really short on talent and size to compete in the Big XII. If you are going to play small, you have to have shooters and guys who can get to the long rebounds quickly. We play small and shoot less than 40%. And we are slow. I don’t think Coach K could do much with that.

Singletary seemed to be pouting the entire game. I’m not sure what happened in the first 10 minutes, but when I cam in he was sitting and he never got it going.

by NM99 on Feb 23, 2010 9:13 PM CST up reply actions

I will not take anything away from K-State

They have earned their stripes this year and could go deep in the NCAA’s. Tech just cannot match them in talent. Especially when the top two players are just about invisible to the game.

TTpilk Psalm 117:
1 ¶ O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

by TTpilk645 on Feb 23, 2010 9:11 PM CST reply actions

Yeah, and I don’t know how much of it is talent, and how much of it has to do with poor coaching. I mean this looks like a badly coached team to me.

Winning Attitude Starts at the Top

Winning attitude has to start from the coach’s level. When we have a loser coach, who has already publicly lowered the expectations of the team by stating that all he cares about is the NIT, well we don’t, but this loser attitude trickles down to the rest of the team. I want another coach. I have had enough of Pat Knight.

by jef on Feb 23, 2010 9:15 PM CST reply actions

Has the Team Quit

on its coaching staff? Tech doesn’t seem to care much what happens.

by EPRAIDER82 on Feb 23, 2010 9:28 PM CST reply actions

It happened again, except in the UT game we started out playing well and just lost it in the end. I was there, crowd was unusually small/quiet for the #6 team in the nation. Do we still have hope for NIT?

by ryanr14 on Feb 23, 2010 10:08 PM CST reply actions

I shouldnt say we lost it in the end, more like 6 minutes left in the game

by ryanr14 on Feb 23, 2010 10:08 PM CST reply actions

But we never really had it, I think the best we did was down 7 at one point.

by ryanr14 on Feb 23, 2010 10:09 PM CST reply actions

TTU Basketball Is In A State Of Decline!

We are on a steep decline, and we have too many lopsided losses within the conference. What started out as a good team, even being ranke din the Top 25, has quickly turned into a team that no longer belives in its coach, and learned they do not have the talent level to even keep games close with mediocre teams. It is time for a change, lest we accept losing! Bye Bye PK! Hello Billy Gillespie???

by MerkMusic on Feb 23, 2010 11:08 PM CST reply actions

I'm calling for PK's head now.

I quit being nice a few hours ago. He is worthless. I’ll coach for 80k a year, and do just as well. I promise.
