End of Homestand: DT's Adam Coleman writes that the Red Raiders hope to get a win in their first mid-week game of the year (these are always tough on just about any team). 2B Garrett Totten said that this game is important because of this weekend's series in Houston:
"Very important because this weekend we start up the Houston Classic at Minute Maid (Park)," the sophomore second baseman said. "Play Rice, Houston and TCU — those are all three tough teams."I think starting out with a win in the mid-week puts us on a positive note and hopefully it will get us moving going forward."
Mayo Named Bench Award Watch List: Congrats to C Jeremy Mayo for being named to the Johnny Bench Award Watch List.
