Potts out for Spring?
According to Don Williams (LAJ), Taylor Potts will likely be out the rest of the Spring. Apparently, the hand injury was more severe than first suspected:
"He cut it pretty good in the middle — very good — and he got six deep stitches,’’ Tuberville said. "We’re not going to take any chances with it. After about seven, eight, nine days we’ll look at it and see if he can throw a little bit.’’

FYI:
I went ahead and hid the other FanShot since RaiderGrad was first with the news and I’m trying to keep same or similar FanShots from back-to-back.

Oh,Billy, Billy, Billy....
(Billy being the knickname for a very thick, and very worn play-book consisting of every I and Wishbone formation he ever saw in his tenure, a about fifty new ones he came up with since being fired.)

Are the wheels coming off or am I jumping to conclusions here?
Looks like Doege and Karam are going to get a lot of practice for a while….

thinking about it,
Maybe it will be a chance for the 1st stringers to really take these guys under their wings and support them
I hope so.
Giving them a little bit of a confidence can do wonders I’ve heard.

Please do.
That would help some of us. The rest would fall in a drunken stooper until the fall rolled around. Myself included…..

None of this matters...
Brown will be signing from the sidelines so that the qb knows exactly which qb to stare down and which db to throw the pick to… lol

Snake Bit
This kid has got some bad luck. The spring game is his chance to convince us and the new coaches that he can carry the offense and now he may not get that chance. What a kick in the shorts…
Throw first and ask questions later.

Karem and Doege are very capable of running this offense. Now they are going to get enough reps to show that to be true. That does not necessarily place them as the numbers 1 & 2 QBs, but it does provide them with the opportunity to learn this offense well enough to be viable options should more injuries occur in the Fall. Potts and Sticks will be fine, but will need to work hard to get their timing, defense reading and play-calling perfected prior to game #1 of the 2010 season. Both should be able to do this so there should be little concern for them and Tech’s offense. Of course, all of this will definitely make the final Spring game an interesting one. Tech has a lot of experienced receivers who are capable of guiding the two young ones to play better and to learn to trust one another to perform accordingly.

So practice was closed so.....

Sticks and Nick being out at the same time
Has some kind of symmetry to it…..let’s see what the young kids have. There might be another sticks waiting down the pecking order.

First Sheffield, now Potts?
Never fear. Got it covered. Sounds like a job for the Miraculous Shed of Healing.
Yeah, I said it.
I can't believe it took this long for a shed quote.
And a great one at that……
