Went Well:  Yesterday's first interview with our social worker for our adoption went well as far as I could tell.  My wife told me that I talked too much and I typically never get accused of talking too much.  In any event, we have three more interviews to go, but it was good to get the first one out of the way.

SB Nation Bloggers Interviews Roger Goodell:  Pretty interesting read and I find it interesting that the commissioner of the NFL is willing to give bloggers a chance to interview him.  The interview reads like any other interview with mainstream media members and the thing that I think that teams, leagues and universities are realizing is that not all bloggers are the same, just as not all writers are the same.  Of course each team has their own restrictions and some teams are more willing to open up than others.  I still don't know if I would like to have this type of access and I still don't know how I am personally viewed by the folks at the university, especially after the Leach situation.

Season Tickets for Students:  I'm assuming that most students already knew about this, but if you didn't know, apparently students can get season tickets for $120 starting at 8:30 a.m. this morning. 

Sharpe and Henley Sign as UDFA:  As reported yesterday and last night (hat-tip TTUMAR), DE Brandon Sharpe has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the New Orleans Saints and DE Rajon Henley has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Cincinnati Bengals.  That's six Red Raiders that have signed deals or been drafted:  CB Jamar Wall, RG Brandon Carter, RT Marlon Winn, DE Daniel Howard, DE Brandon Sharpe; DE Rajon Henley.

Taking On New Mexico:  The Red Raiders have their second to last non-conference game against the Lobos tonight in Albuquerque.  The official site has your official preview and DT's Adam Coleman previews the game and he talks with freshman 2B Jamodrick McGruder expects to win:

"We expect to go out and win like we always do and play hard," the freshman leadoff hitter said. "That’s all you can ask, is for us to play hard. Play hard and you win."

LAJ's George Watson writes about the odd formula that the Red Raiders are using to win Big 12 Conference series:

In their last three Big 12 series, the Red Raiders have been hammered on Fridays, losing to Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and Kansas by a combined score of 35-6. Each time, however, Tech has found a way to climb out of that early series hole and is a perfect 6-0 in its past three Saturdays and Sundays. This past week, that approach culminated with the program's fourth straight Big 12 series victory and second road series win of the season, neither of which have happened since 2004.

In essence, Tech is not only pitching it backward - saving its best pitchers for Saturday and Sunday to take advantage of more favorable matchups - it is pretty much playing it backward as well. Had any of the past three Friday games been on Sunday, where most teams would play them, Tech would have been run-ruled in two of them, and the feelings might not be so good in the clubhouse right now.
