Spring Game Tailgate

We are setting up in the west parking lot on April 16t has close to the central entrance to the Jones as we can get.  This will also allow us to get into the garage sale if it is still going on.  Just look for the awnings, the pit is a trailer withTEXAS TECH on top with 6-8 flags flying high.  A new flag hopefullywill be brought out for this weekend with the Double T Nation symbol flying high if the folks at the print shop can get it completed.  Menu will consist of smoked briskets, venison and elk brawts, smoked ribs, beer butt chicken, tortillas and a couple of dutch oven cobblers, a little whisky and a huge amount of beer.  Please feel free to bring things of your own as the fire will stay hot around the clock and you are more than welcome to cook on the grills.  Saturday mornings fare will be Migas and hot cakes and coffee.  Bring your appetite and lets party with the Scarlet and Black!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Double-T Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Double-T Nation's writers or editors.

If you like migas

You have to go to brunch at “ozona” on Greenville Ave. in Dallas. They have a great Bloody Mary bar and fine outdoor eating.

Tailgait supplies

We have most of the protein for the party—We usually have others bring paper plates and napkins, soft drinks, chips and salsa, salad in bags, beans and potato salad etc… If anyone wants to bring the above items it sure helps us as we will not have to haul it all up from Midland. Thanks DTN. I can’t wait.

Doc, thanks for your hospitality..

I won’t be able to make the Tailgate, but will be at the game.

How many other games are you going to make?

Just curious…… I’d like to see if I could overstay me welcome at some point.

Wish I could be there....

That is the weekend of my annual college buddies reunion, at the Old Settler’s Music Festival in Dripping Springs.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and guess this will likely be the first of many DTN tailgates, so I will definitely be planning on attending (with suitcase of beer) the next one…hopefully this season?

tailgate

Hi, im kind of new , I am planning on going to see the spring game next weekend. I did not go to Tech but have become a fan. I live in Houston and was wondering where I can go in terms of tailgating, since I will head up alone.

by RaiderWreckem66 on Apr 8, 2010 8:49 PM CDT reply actions

you are certainly welcome to join all of us on the west side of the stadium.

Look for Doc’s cooker with the DTN flag waving proudly…………..and probably rapidly in the mild West Texas breeze
