"That people were expecting Bellamy to win, that just pushed me more because I'm not a loser," McRoy said. "I work hard to win in everything I do."
Coming into the race, McRoy, who was undefeated in the event this year, had the fastest seed time, 21.43 to Bellamy's 21.53.
"I really wanted it," McRoy, who has signed with Texas Tech as a running back, said. "I can't explain how much I wanted it. This year, I slacked a little bit, but I picked it up when I could. I always wanted to win state."

I see what you did there
Funny. But seriously….Damn!!! We got, WE, Texas To Hech With Knowledge College, WE got the fastest kid in Freakin Florida. Wow, just wow. On another serious note, I remember a kid named DaByron Blanton from Forney (2002 HS Grad) who is the fastest man I’ve ever seen in person 100 and 200 meters, he got a full ride to OU for football and never saw the field. Hope this guy gets moved to reciever and Blows our Minds. Or running back as intended.
