If we hadn’t made such strides over the past decade I would be all for it. Honestly.
But, Tech’s has slowly become a powerhouse and a force to be reckoned with. Plus, we owe USC a ginormous ass whooping.

If A&M and texas and Tech all play each other in non-conference games each year, we would be in a situation where we could beat up on each other, but any loss wouldn’t kill us, because we’d still be able to turn around, win our respective conference, and go on and play in a BCS bowl.

Their just tired of having to come up with excuses for why they can’t win. Aggies have no value in football. It would actually benefit A&M more to go the MWC. Tech can compete with UT and OU but aggie can’t.

Gotta say, this is the same line of thinking that has Aggie’s considering going alone to the SEC. These guys all seem to be brainwashed in to thinking:
a. They are superior to UT and have equal value.
b. Tech will always be an subordinate to aTm
Not to mention his entire premise includes the MWC attaining BCS qualifier status which is far from a lock.
It is a dangerous place to be when you aren’t able to be honest and logical with the status and capability of your athletic program. I’m happy that it appears Tech officials get the fact that our BEST option is to stick close to UT and other B12 South partners.
No shame is being realistic. Pride can be a bitch sometimes…
