What would be the 10 worst blown calls involving Tech?
A couple I can remember off the top of my head are the Cotton Bowl against Alabama when the knee was clearly down but not called and they scored.
And of course the mystery of the no-call block in the back when Shipley returned the kick for a td in 2008. At least that game still turned out all right.
Leading with your helmet on a Potts sack in the UT game last year
That was a pretty spectacular no-call.

I find it funny how the NCAA just put in new rules before last year emphasizing player (more specifically QB and WR) safety by coming down hard on defenders that lead with their head. One such new rule (Rule 9-6) stated that any player who leads with the crown of their helmet is subject to a review by the conference of the hit and may be suspended for the hit.
This is just more proof that UT operates above the law…..

I believe calling any one of the three blocks in the back that sprung Shipley would have been sufficient, plus the fact they called it and picked it up makes it even worse of a worse call.
How about the hell/toe situation in Austin in what ’03? When the UT receivers heel landed clearly out on the end line, but was ruled as in since the toes were in! That was laughable, I think that game got the Leach fine.
I think you mean '07
Also, lets not forget that UT’s 2nd(?) touchdown in that game came on a Colt McCoy sneak on 3rd down. On the replay, you can clearly see (and even the d-bag announcers saw it) not one but both his knees ON THE GROUND. Not only that, but he actually crawled into the endzone on his knees, and it was still allowed. I was really surprised that blown call didn’t get more playtime than it did (I also can’t find it on YouTube, but if anyone has that game DVR’d or something, go back and look at it).
’07 also had the phantom holding call on a TD that would have put Tech within 6 (I think). On that same play, the UT defender (that was supposedly held) ran right threw Harrell after he got the pass off, but there was no call for the late hit.
Then there was the 30 or so yard Crabtree catch that got us down inside the 10 that was called a no catch even after the review (we went for it on fourth and failed IIRC).
No wonder the Captain was fined for what he said after that game.
