Red Raiders making noise in NFL tonight
Graham Harrell led a nice TD drive for the Packers in the 4th Quarter, going 5/6 for 62 yards. He didn't get anothe drive because they returned a kickoff for a TD on what would have been their last possession. He looked really sharp in his limited duty, though, and the commentators had some positive things to say about him and TTU. All of Green Bay's offense was in high gear tonight.
Then I saw the highlights for the Rams vs. Patriots game. Welker vs. Amendola. Welker had 2 grabs for 41 yards after coming back early from his knee injury. Amendola is doing it again this year also, all over the field. He caught 5 passes for 50 yards, while also returning kicks 2/47 yards and punts 3/50 yards. Sam Bradford looked really good also as their starter.
Way to represent Tech guys! Can't wait to see Crabtree build on last year's success to start to dominate also!

I've been a Packer fan...
… all of my life, but last night was a first for me. I pulled for that flag on the punt return TD to be against the Pack just so Harrell would get another shot at leading the offense with some meaningful time left. My wife thought I was nuts.
Still, it’s good to see Harrell out there and he looked pretty sharp to me. As much as I’d like to see him play for the Packers, I don’t think he’ll get much of a chance there. I’m kind of hoping his preseason performance will generate interest from another team, and that he’ll end up going somewhere where he can get playing time.
You were right the first time.
It was a punt return. Unlike Green Bay with Harrell under center, Indianapolis looked quite inept with their backup QB and had to punt quite a few times.
I didn’t and haven’t watched Green Bay any when Harrell wasn’t in but wondered what their normal offense looked like. Because, to me, it sure did look like shades of the Tech offense were being run when Harrell was in there, especially the patterns being run when he completed the quick slant to the inside receiver….deja vu all over again.

My thoughts
“system QB huh?, GreenBay must be running the same system!”
Adversity causes some men to break, and others to break records.

Great to see Harrell doing well.
I sure hope he can make a team and work his way into a starting role. That would be awesome.
Harrell looks like a completely different guy than who we saw at the Senior Bowl. His arm looks big time and has more than enough zip – and he’s much larger physically. He’ll make that team. I was impressed and actually a little surprised. I didn’t think be would ever amount to much in the NFL. He may not but he’s clearly put in the work to give himself a great chance.

The announcers were talking a lot about how Aaron Rogers has developed as a QB and strengthened his arm, so maybe he’s been mentoring Harrrell.
That's what it sounds like to me.

SI.com thinks he’s on the bubble…Cle, according to the SI writer, thinks McCoy is in over his head and isn’t quite the athlete they thought he was. And he’s been outplayed by the other guy competing for the 3rd spot all pre-season.
McCoy's been terrible during the pre-season.
If I was a NFL GM, he would not have a shot on my team.

After watching Dallas' game against Houston the other night,
And seeing Kitna’s career stats, I can’t help but think that Harrell is going to have a promising career in the NFL. Not as a back up but as a franchise QB.
If Kitna can throw for almost 30000 yards and have as many TD’s as INT’s (they are literally 1 stat apart) I see Harrell leading insane yards and TD’s in the league.

NFL Network replays those preseason games all week
If you get the chance, watch the first half of NE vs. St. L. Amendola has become quite the security blanket for Bradford and Bradford looks pretty good. Problem for Danny is, he’s only in on obvious passing downs, otherwise they line up 2 RBs. Danny is looking awesome and I see him signing a nice contract with somebody soon when he finishes whatever piddly contract St. L has had him on the last two years.
Give 'Em Hell Tech!!!!!
It's only a matter of time...
until Amendola gets the number of snaps Welker does. He’s gone from only special teams duty to actually touching the field with the O out there already. I could easily see him being to Bradford what Welker is to Brady.
