Not too concerned
I think he will check out other programs but Willis and Tuberville will keep him close IMO. A&M isn’t in what it used to be and these younger players know that. I think most would view A&M as a step down when holding an offer from Tech. Lets hope this kid is smart enough to figure that out. I doubt after this season any top shelf recruit would feel good about A&M. Conference play will cause them to lose at least 5 games.

I think the general
consensus on DTN is that we don’t get too worked up over recruiting. That’s not to say that there aren’t some die-hard recruiting folks, but most here are excited about most commits, but know that it doesn’t mean a thing until signing-day. I think the one thing that makes Derek David’s commitment unique is that Texas Tech also offered his brother, Logan, who is a defensive tackle playing at Blinn CC. If things work out like they should, then they’ll both arrive in Lubbock the same year and Logan will have 3 years and David will have 5 years.

If David is at the game in college station, what are the circumstances ?
Is he hosted by an aggie source ?
Is he going because he is a very good high school linebacker with great college potential ?
Or is it more a local event with opportunity to enjoy college football ? even if it is on someone else’s ticket ?
I am thinking it is not so much that he is going but why ?
Contrast that with the information that we do not know, for examplle, what is happening with the on-going communications between TTU recruiters and the David brothers vs their commitments mentioned by Seth.
