NM game on tv?

Howdy all, I was wondering if anyone knew about the game being on TV this week... I had seen a commercial over the weekend on versus saying the game would be on tv, but the tv listings don't seem to be showing it. I live in Houston and have comcast if that helps... anyone know of where to watch it pay/free online if it is not on tv? Are there like online subscriptions to watch all the games live?

Thanks,

Guns Up!

MTN

Call around your local sports bars and find out which ones have DirectTV and then ask if they get the Mountain West network. I was told it would be broadcast on this station this weekend.

It’s on the MTN channel which is through Direct TV.

I believe MTN is also on ATT U-Verse if you have the extended sports package

I will try and confirm this today.

It does not appear that U-verse offers this channel as part of their sports package. I will be watching the game at Jake’s in downtown Fort Worth if anyone wants to join me.

You are right, it doesn’t seem to be on there…they lump MTN with CBS college sports network…sorry about the confusion

No worries. I was ready to order the sports package if needed, haha.

Are we positive that U-Verse does not carry the game?

pretty certain

I checked the hardcopy channel guide for UVerse and the Mountain channel isn’t listed on any of the packages. I was gonna upgrade for 30 days so I could get the game. No dice.

I swear I saw an ad for the game last week when I was watching Utah/Washington on Vs.

They showed the Double T, said Tech vs. New Mexico next Saturday night at 8pm eastern. I think they even showed Blackbeard in his white pants.

But I looked it up and the PBR is scheduled to be on from 7-10.

hell yeah!

Thanks for the heads up. I love me some PBR. Setting the DVR now…….I never saw the ad, but my dad and brother mentioned it was on Vs. as well. Maybe the guide is wrong.

No mention of anywhere in the mid-cities but I know the Buffalo Wild Wings in Bedford has DirecTV. You might call them to see if they will be carrying the game.

Flips off Western Center

I called Flips this morning and they informed me that they have DirectTV and will be playing the Tech game. As I stated before, I can’t handle the smokey sports bars of Downtown and this is a great place to get away from that and still have the Huge screens with additional flat panels all around the place.

DirecTV Customers

DirecTV offers MTN on it’s Premier package. But, for $12/month you can get thier Sports Pak which includes MTN and other regional sports networks. The only requirement is that you keep it for a minimum of 30 days.

I’m in Houston, so that could be different if you live elsewhere. The live broadcast is listed for MTN, but not for VS.

DirecTV

It’s on channel 616. I think there is channel 616-1 for HD.

Check channelsurfing.net, justin.tv, and veetle.com

I watched last weeks game on Veetle and it was crystal clear with no interruptions. This was all from an iphone.

Do you have anymore that you use?

I ask because for the first time ever I missed a game that wasn’t shown in this area that I really wanted to see last week (USU-OU).

Watching in Houston at Coach's at I-10 and Barker Cypress

Spoke with them on the phone and they confirmed they get the MTN and will have the game on at least one of the TVs. It’s non-smoking, which was a priority for me. Now if I can just drag my Longhorn husband out to Katy…

by HoustonRaiderChick on Sep 9, 2010 7:03 PM CDT reply actions

The game is only on DirecTV ...

… unless you live in a local area for a Mountain West school (Fort Worth/TCU, Provo/BYU, Albuqureque/UNM, etc) then you can get it on local cable.

If you don’t have DirecTV then you can check out these places in Lubbock for the game

BOTH Buffalo Wild Wings
Chimy’s
Crickets
Cujo’s
Fox and the Hound Pub
Gator’s Bayou
Jake’s
Nick’s Sports Bar and Grill
Rocky LaRue’s

Game on Suddenlink

Just found out that Suddenlink and the MTN reached an agreement to carry the MTN, but only for Lubbock customers and only if you have the extra sports pack. Give Suddenlink a call, pay your extra money, and it should be live by midnight tonight!

by matthew_lt on Sep 10, 2010 5:57 PM CDT reply actions

If you don’t have MTN there is another option to watch today. Directv is showing Tech vs. NM on channel 616, if you don’t have the option, the game can be streamed free on this website. www.myp2p.eu. It may not be the best quality but it is free. Good Luck.
