I Have Five Questions | Has It Been Worth It?

Howdy Fellow Red Raiders...

After reading Seth C's Five Questions | Finishing Up the Season and all the fine responses in that thread from the knowledgeable Tech fan base... I have five questions of my own.

And seeing that there are some very tuned in fans here in that thread I was just wondering how effective Craig's golden calf was to the program this year.

  1. Has Adam James been worth all the turmoil?
  2. Were the 2 receptions for 26 yards the big numbers his daddy expected from him this year?
  3. Or ... is everyone waiting for his senior season to be the big breakout year on to the national stage?
  4. Is he still majoring in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management? (with those stats he better be)
  5. Has he gotten a better iPhone for better picture quality?

Once a pirate... always a pirate... and a pirate never forgets...

Come on now ...

.

Hey now…

The poll seems to have been getting some action.

But geez… Where’s the opinions? Where is all the pro-Tubervillians and anti-Pirate folks?

Aren’t the well know opinionators willing to going down this dusty road?

Has it actually become too difficult to justify the administration’s actions?

Isn’t there one spokesperson amongst you to defend our mighty Red Raider nation?

Trigger both barrels and let the inner-Pirate out.

Well, first, allow me to speak for the vast majority of DTN when I say I could care less about this kid and his lack of productivity on the field.

Second, your post doesn’t have anything to do with Leach, the admin or Tuberville. If you want to create a debate about that (for whatever reason), you may want to focus a post on those things, not AJ. Just my input for you : )

Agree

I just can’t reduce myself to trashing a 19 or 20 year old kid that is basically warming the bench despite how I might feel about him. Lets act like adults.

You're kicking an old pile, but I have 1 Adam James question of my own

Did anyone ever hear of how he received his “concussion” he claimed? The one that caused him to show up at the practice with cap on backwards + shades + spoiled rich kid attitude not wearing exercise attire.

I’ve always thought it odd that a teammate didn’t come forward on his behalf validating his “concussion” / injury.

by Tn Raider on Jan 3, 2011 5:57 PM CST reply actions

Heard a rumor...

that he got the concussion in a bar fight. Take that for exactly what it’s worth (rumor from a completely unreliable source).

My take:

1. No
2. His daddy expected at least 2 Heismans by now.
3. Depends. It’ll be a breakout year for him if he gets Tubs fired and the interim coach.
4. Most likely. Maybe when he’s older he can lock teenagers in the freezer at the local Burger King.
5. I heard the iPhone 4’s camera is pretty sick, so yes.

Could have sworn I posted...maybe I did it on the wrong thread

Anyway, as a RHIM graduate, I have to know if Nancy is really a RHIM major or if you’re just making fun of the program… If you’re just making fun of the program I won’t care in the least because I’ll just be so relieved Nancy isn’t a part of it!!

1. No
2. No, because Nancy has, “the best hands on the team”
3. Yes, he’s saving all the magic for his senior year
4. He would be lucky to get a RHIM degree, doubt he is smart enought
5. I bet he got the new iPhone as a gift for the good job he did for daddy over Christmas last year

Thinking the same thing....

I too am a RHIM grad as is my wife…..didn’t appreciate the dig anyway. Ben “coach” Goh taught me a lot, and in return we got him hammered.

I remember Ben!

I wonder if we were there at the same time…I think we are about the same age. It was such a small program we (and your wife) may know each other. I was there from 84 to December to 87. I graduated early. For some reason I was in a hurry to get out into the real world…what I wouldn’t give to have that semester back…

Do you remember Dr. Hayes and Stephen Barth?

Took the wine class from Fitzgerald , law from barth

had the schrocks and had gin and tonics with Hayes when I decided to switch to rhim. That was 84-88, as I had to cram 4 years into 5. Good times, went to work for Marriott fir 3 years and no mas.

Funny! Poor innocent Ben!

Those were crazy days! We went out drinking with Hayes a few times. Went out with Barth a few times too.

Hayes used to call me and my best friend “frick and frack”. We started the RHIM business fraternity since the “real” business fraternities wouldn’t let us join.

I worked for Chili’s for 3 years before bailing and making a total career change.

Here is my email address: dfarmer@austin.rr.com (Danelle Farmer)

I bet we know each other or at least a lot of the same people. If you don’t mind, shoot me an emal and we can see if we’ve ever crossed paths.

The best part has been watching him repeatedly fail, and in general blaming everything bad on his existence.

I don’t know if any other schools will follow the trend and place a whipping boy on scholarship, but they should look into it if they can find the right guy.

So, I answer none of your questions. He just is NOT worth the effort.

I take it

that you don’t like this post and some of the comments. Tell what other player anywhere could do the following and still be a part of any team:
Throw a temper tantrum and detroy school property.
Make false accusations against the HC.
Commit fraud by making a phony video and having it post by a PR firm.
Conspire to have the HC fired.

I suspect even Cam Newton would be removed from the team after doing these things.

I’m sure you’re joking here, but as much as people may disagree with what TTUMAR thinks, I think it’s safe to say that he’s never approved of what Adam James did in any way shape or form and I think this is a mis-characterization of TTUMAR.

I must admit that I didn’t get the point of this either. Perhaps the point was to continue the idea of poking sharp sticks and invoking some sort of emotion response about a player and that player’s dad that seems to be universally dis-liked on DTN. Thus far on this FanPost, we have one DTN user making an assumption about another DTN user, with that assumption being incorrect, which now leads me to remind people that I’d really prefer that we not call people names.

I have no idea as to what the motivation was for this post and I don’t know that it matters. It’s been my stance that I it’s not best to ask people to “move on” because no one likes to be told what to do, but it would be really nice if we can all rest knowing that karma is a bitch and most of the times in life, people get what they deserve.

I wasn't bothered at all

You gave me a legitmate reason to go on a rant about one of my least favorite people in the world.

by RdrPwr on Jan 4, 2011 12:53 PM CST up reply actions

I didn’t say that you attacked him, but if I may speak for RdrPwr, who I’ve met and I know doesn’t like James, I thought your questions seem to indicate that RdrPwr agreed with the thought that what James did was okay. As indicated above, that’s not how RdrPwr feels.

Maybe it’s just me, and I’m not talking about your comment, but sometimes on this end of the admin side of DTN, it feels like we’re eating our own.

The only one that would "eat" one of us

Is the person in question in the original post. And he would probably not care to differentiate between male or female. If you look at his mouth in TV closeups, you can see the dried up stuff on each side of his mouth (use your imagination). Now that is something I would never say, normally, and especially I would never say that about anyone on DTN, even if I happen to dissagree on some point.
