I read that earlier - One quote made me chuckle
“I think people are starting to understand,” Tuberville said. “The biggest thing we’re trying to teach this team is that you can win with defense. You don’t have to win on offense every week.”
I do think it’s a worthy goal & I see the team striving to reach that goal every day. But so far this year, the offense is winning the games. That could change down the road, but at this point winning with D is just a goal, not a reality. It would be great if he would pretend to enjoy having a prolific offense just a little. It must be the ex-defensive coordinator in him that finds gaudy offensive numbers distasteful.
2011 Season - No excuses. Just win!
Need to back that up with results then.
But you still have to win on offense, every week. Unless you plan on your D scoring a lot. No one is going to completely shut down the offensive production we see in this conference on a weekly basis.
"What the hell did you do that for"... Tubs Mom

yeah that's a funny thing to say
when you put up 41 points and the final margin of victory is 3. Oh Tuberville, you so crazy

I thought that was funny too.
At the same time, even under Leach I always fantasized that we would be untouchable with a top 20 Defense to go along with that offense. Who knows, maybe Tubs will pull that off too. The win at OU, combined with the bulk of his coaching record, makes it hard to say he can’t.

Harvey "Big Daddy" Pollitt: "What's that smell in this room? Didn't you notice it, Brick? Didn't you notice a powerful and obnoxious odor of mendacity in this room?"
They have talked about winning with offense, defense, and special teams from the git go.
and they continue to purse that philosophy. We are not close to where we can be with those goals. We have a happy prospectus for our football program currently.
