G-Bert is Moving on

Was it the pressure of replacing THE Colt McCoy in a national championship game? Was it the pressure of being a University of Texas QB? Or was Gilbert simply not that good? That, is what you have to decide. However, unhappy with his current situation at the University of Texas, Garrett Gilbert will transfer. Reports indicate that Gilbert was spotted at an SMU practice led by June Jones yesterday, October 5th. Wherever Gilbert goes, happy trails. We often under-appreciate the struggles of NCAA student athletes. Hopefully Gilbert will be able to make a comeback at his next stop. And wherever he lands, let's hope he doesn't take a pay cut.

Probably a good move on his behalf. He has 2 QB’s (Ash & McCoy) in his way now and that would be a mountain to climb. I’m sure Gilbert will be successful especially if he gets to SMU with June Jones.

Wonder if this will change his brother's mind?

Going to be interesting to see if this changes where his younger brother goes. Currently, he is committed to tu. Pretty dang good receiver. I would like to see him in Red & Black!
