College AD Pay Chart Reveals Some Interesting Figures
Wow...I'm sure there are plenty of DTN posters who actually make more than some mid-major college AD. So we got that going for us! Which is nice.

Holy $#!@
Did not expect to see Vandy’s AD at the top of the list and TCU’s next to last!

is much more than an AD (Vandy did away with their athletic department, per se, a few years ago)…they report directly to him in his role as (pick one):
Vice Chancellor for University Affairs and Athletics; General Counsel and University Secretary at The Vanderbilt University and Medical Center; Professor of Law.
I can see TCU'S AD drooling
at the prospect of his new salary in the Big 12, I mean 9, no wait 10, whatever
Surprised by Bama AD pay
I would have thought he would make more than $560K. That is a lot of money, but somehow I thought it would be higher.

Cost of living is lower in Alabama
The “Thank goodness for Mississippi” state. Since Mississippi ranks dead last in all poverty & quality of life rankings Alabama gets to be 49th.
2011 Season - No excuses. Just win!
New Mexico (UNM)
the Lobos AD makes over $409k … all they have is basketball
NUTS - Never Underestimate TEAM Strength
Hmmmm!
$409k will buy you a lot of green chilis for your hamburgers.
I love America and capitalism.......
but some times I wonder how things gets this far out of wack.

The surprise for me is Texas Tech
With Hocutt sitting at the #23 slot at about $750K if he collects the maximum bonus, we should be able to keep him around for a while. Also, with A&M & Mizzou (#10 & 11 resp) leaving the conference, Tech’s AD becomes the third highest paid in the conference. I am surprised a bit at Vandy’s AD salary. Over $2 Million…..WOW!
