Full disclosure - I didn't create it

I just did a search on “animated GIF” & came across it. But I have watched the original video about 40 times this week. It’s like a David Lynch film outtake. It must have been staged.

WILL TEXAS TECH SEE AN END TO THEIR SCORING DROUGHT FROM THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS AND BE ABLE TO PUT 30 ON THE BOARD?

I tend to speculate tech will score points against this OSU defense. I think it’s a footrace but our defense keeps us from taking a large enough lead.

WILL THE TEXAS TECH DEFENSE BE ABLE TO HOLD OKLAHOMA ST. TO UNDER 175 YARDS RUSHING?

Seriously doubt it unless a whole new defense shows up that we haven’t seen this year.

WILL THIS YEAR BE LIKE LAST YEAR AT THE WOUNDED WARRIOR GAME, AN UPSET OF A RANKED OPPONENT?

It’s possible but I have say I think last years team was better than what we have this year defensively. Seems like our guys are less aggressive this season and give up easily.

WILL TEXAS TECH SEE AN END TO THEIR SCORING DROUGHT FROM THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS AND BE ABLE TO PUT 30 ON THE BOARD?.
Tech is overdue for an explosion of scoring .Tech has the tools but they need a full up effort wherein the O line, Qb and receivers supported by the Running backs to get moving. RB’s need to break a collective 20 plus touches and 100 yards. The "O" must avoid egregious penalties like hands to the face or personnel fouls and just make routine plays going down the field. A couple of years ago Seth said something like this score more than 24 points and all the options are on the table. I think it breaks down to this: scoring on 4 plus possessions by Tech or anybody.. Demoralizes and exposes the defense. They start playing like very play is a must win situation and therefore make mistakes. Each mistake leaves a window open for exploitation..it’s that exploitation which will allow the Raiders to crack 30 points.

WILL THE TEXAS TECH DEFENSE BE ABLE TO HOLD OKLAHOMA ST. TO UNDER 175 YARDS RUSHING?
Get a mismatch some place and ram it down the opposing offenses throat. Problem with holding these guys or getting a mismatch is they have a lot of options. I expect OSU to run it inside the 40 yard line – to the end zone or put another way anytime it is 2nd short look out. So as far as holding them under 175 yards its going to take some excellent tackling for a loss(4 to 7) and QB sacks (2 plus). Just math baby so I guess I am not optimistic they hold them down but perhaps the stunts work better this week and the Raiders nick them up and force a few bad throws? Okay Weeden doesn’t throw badly just errant throws. I’ll settle for that.

WILL THIS YEAR BE LIKE LAST YEAR AT THE WOUNDED WARRIOR GAME, AN UPSET OF A RANKED OPPONENT?

I think the team will be fired up.. You’ve got a Medal of Honor winner on the sidelines and the other Wounded Warriors Purple heart fellas talking it up. They simply need to dominate some aspect of the game blocking, blitzing, tackling, pass break ups and then run routine plays down the field when they have the ball. Will it take a few forced fumbles? Absolutely. Fired up Raiders can take the fight to these guys.

WILL TEXAS TECH SEE AN END TO THEIR SCORING DROUGHT FROM THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS AND BE ABLE TO PUT 30 ON THE BOARD?
Yes, the OSU defense is not that good

WILL THE TEXAS TECH DEFENSE BE ABLE TO HOLD OKLAHOMA ST. TO UNDER 175 YARDS RUSHING?
No way no how.

WILL THIS YEAR BE LIKE LAST YEAR AT THE WOUNDED WARRIOR GAME, AN UPSET OF A RANKED OPPONENT?
If we hold OSU to 3-4 field goals instead of TD’s, we have a chance. I think this is the second straight game where our opponent is not forced to punt. But is they kick field goals on 3-4 possessions, we have a chance in a shootout.

I’m pasting a youtube of Tech vs Ole Miss in 2003. I think this game could be that kind of game. I was at the game in Oxford, MS, one of a few hundred Tech fans there. The Tech defense was horrible that year, but managed to hold Ole Miss to filed goals a few possessions, and force a couple of turnovers. If we do the same against OSU, the score could be the same -— Tech 49 OSU 45

And BTW, the intro to this video really fits the Veterans Day theme!

Great video

Our guys looked much bigger on defense IMO. Also, the passing game was solid with receivers that knew how to catch a pass. Ahh..the good ole days.

BJ Symons, Wes Welker, Carlos Francis, Taurean Henderson, and the Captain on the sidelines…..

BTW, the Ole Miss defense was recruited and trained by Tubs. He left in 2002 for Auburn. And their defense that year looked a lot like Tech’s this year. Coincidence?

On a side note the Iowa St fans are most likely not saying that their drumming of us a few weeks back was because they had"superior athletes" but that they have better coaches who attacked our weakness and ALL of our coaches could not make adjustments

What if tubs runs for president?

The bob dole article the other day amused me

as I think bob dole’s name is amusing. Even got my friend’s daughter saying bob dole , although she thinks I made up the name and its not a real person.

Reminds me when I was a kid

I’d always send my brother in to feed the chickens because those roosters get PISSED.

It’s terrifyingly hilarious to see a rooster flying at you with his spurs out. They’ll mess you up and not feel bad about it at all.

No bullfights. No gambling. No donkeys. No vanilla extracts. No piñatas. None of that stuff. Straight football. No switchblades.

We used to have a rooster named rooster

and a dog named rooster. My grandfather was a creative guy.

On a side note

roosters wake me up, which isn’t so cool.

How could we loose

We have got Tommy frick’en Tuberville. Aka the CATFISH, also CATFISH Jesus and Cornbread. The River Boat Gambler, we win going a way. Ha ha aha ahahahahahah. Have about the same chance as a bird egg in a log jam.

I like that 15% chance!

Yes, I went ahead and voted the Tech by 4 or more…Hey if I’m right heck yeah! if not then nothing some cold beer won’t fix! I do feel like OSU is gonna be looking ahead to Bedlam (yes I know they have ISU before then) and we will squeak by with a win. Like the X Files…I Want to Believe!

by OtakuRaider on Nov 11, 2011 11:16 PM CST reply actions

I predict

Osu steals our tortilla throwing, and we are able to feed a small country with their celebration.
However, they steal our field goal tradition and tech wins 30-27…all field goals.

This is a 3 ring circus up in here......

WILL TEXAS TECH SEE AN END TO THEIR SCORING DROUGHT FROM THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS AND BE ABLE TO PUT 30 ON THE BOARD? No, the offense has to be on the field without any turnovers for that to happen . I don’t see the Tech’s defense rising to the occasion and as a result the offense will struggle.

WILL THE TEXAS TECH DEFENSE BE ABLE TO HOLD OKLAHOMA ST. TO UNDER 175 YARDS RUSHING? No

WILL THIS YEAR BE LIKE LAST YEAR AT THE WOUNDED WARRIOR GAME, AN UPSET OF A RANKED OPPONENT? No. Unlike OU, Okie lite is more mature and Gundy won’t allow a letdown.

IF YOU’RE INTO IT (AND TO TRY TO LIGHTEN THE MOOD A BIT), PREDICT THE GAME: OSU 68-TTU 31

Some Cowboys Go Out Like That...

but not this week…Tech makes it interesting for awhile but OSU pulls away late to win 45-31.
