DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TUBERVILLE MADE THE, "I'LL COME UP IN THE STANDS MYSELF THE NEXT TIME I HEAR SOMEONE BOO ADAM JAMES..." COMMENTS?
I need to find the exact quote and source to send to the alumni association & have not been able to track them down. Any local Lubbock folks know?
Thought it was on 104.3 Tech Talk on Thursday but I just listened to the full two hours & it wasn't mentioned. Read the pressers for the last two weeks & the comments aren't there. Did massive web searches & couldn't find anything.
I've heard from enough Lubbock people they heard the comments on the radio. I just need help locating the source ASAP.
Appreciate any help anyone can offer!

I don't live in Lubbock and didn't hear it
But you may email Hyatt or some of those guys in Lubbock to see if they know. I’m not saying they will give it to you on a silver platter but they may be able to point you in the right direction.

Waiting to see if he’ll respond. Not sure they’ll want to give up that info if they feel protective of Tuberville & Texas Tech. We’ll see.

I’m guessing that Hyatt’s not going to have it. It was apparently on a different radio station, so Hyatt probably won’t be able to help.

Fox 34 runs a video feed on game days on their 2nd channel of the radio program from the Frazier Pavillion
I’ll bet it was during that show. We flipped by that when we were looking for the 11:00 Big 12 game.

AJ is a lost cause - But Tubs love is easy
I loved Tuberville after the Oklahoma game. String together 9 of those games a season and I’ll worship the man. Lose 6 conference games at home & prepare for some criticism.

For me...
What bothers me about Tubs isn’t what he says (it’s usually just standard Southern “coach-speak”), it’s what he does or doesn’t do—like freakin’ COACHING! I’ve seen some of the worst coaching this year that I’ve seen since Jerry Moore’s days, and some of the comparisons to those days favor Moore. I’ve got to where I just turn off the sound when Tubs comes on, his voice itself just pisses me off. Reminds me of the old KTCK “Hardline” joke about the typical “Big Southern Dummy” coach from Deliverance country—YEEEEEE-HAAAWWWWW!

Tech has a different coach but Adam still has the same dad. And Dad is still blowing up the coaches phones. And it sounds like he’s getting his way. :-(

I did track down the source. Now it’s just a matter of seeing if I can get a link to the video. 104.3/FOX34 doesn’t keep links beyond one week. Since the comments were made on the Red Raider show w/TT a week ago Thurs it’s not on their site anymore. I called & asked for it on Fri. The guy I talked to said he would check & get back to me. Also checking with Tech athletics media. Doubt I’ll end up successful on this one.
