I am a HUGE Jacob Karam fan
EVERYTHING I’ve read about him says he is a credit to our school, and he always came across as possibly the best inspiration on our team (seriously, I remember reading about him selling other players on TTU (ie, helping recruit) as a freshman). I’m disappointed he is leaving (I was hoping he could transition to receiver or TE and see playing time) but I wish him nothing but the best and hope he excels wherever he goes.
Sad to see him go
Wish we could have seen more of him on the field.
I was always a Karam fan.
Awesome kid!
Sounds like he had no chance to start. Best of luck to him.

in the spring game
I thought he did the best – just sayin. Best wishes Jacob – knock ’em dead wherever you go.

Hey Mack
Here’s the answer to your quarterback problems.
Good luck, Jacob. I know you will succeed in football, and in your profession.

you're right - that pass against Baylor was awful

I think the highest GPA sholar-athlete ever to come from Tech deserves a little notoriety
even if he is getting out of the stink-piss-shit-pot that is Red Raider football

at Stanford, I had no idea this man was so decorated as an athelete and schlor

If a Stanford education is on offer, he has to say yes
I suspect he is about done with his undergraduate degree. Go to Stanford & get an MBA or masters on anything & doors will open for you the rest of your life.

I wonder if he gets a call from Washington State...???
Would be a good career move for him now!!!

Damn now I can toast a winner again.

I checked last night and
Washington State is ranked pretty well academically, so it seems like a no-brainer to me that Leach ought to invite him up to Polouse (or however it is spelled). Karam knows Mike’s system, was a cheer leader on the sidelines, etc. etc. Makes me almost giddy with expectation and I don’t even know what giddy means.
Pullman, Washington
It is about 80 miles South of Spokane in SE Washington.

His degree was in pre-law, so who has a law school and needs a QB? UT? Baylor if RG goes pro? SMU? UH?

Law school & football at the same time?
That sounds brutal. Get a masters in something else. Be a lawyer with an MBA in tax accounting or something. There are plenty of second fields that could help a lawyer get on.

I don't want him in the big 12 if he transfers
I really wish he could have gotten more game time this year. I always felt like he might be the time that wasn’t the greatest in practice but could be awesome in games.
This is real baddddd... Karam was my selection as Tech's starting qb
I hope he transfers to WSU.

Jacob thanks for all you have contributed at Texas Tech.
I think you got a raw deal this year. When Doege struggled in some of these games late I don’t know why Tommy did not put you in for some quality minutes. But, now knowing what we know you are the better man.
I also want to thank you for allowing us to use your scholarship on another running back this year. Even though we need DL, Tommy will use your schlorship on a RB.
Again, thanks, and sorry it did not work out for you. Get your Guns Up, and wear your ring with pride.

Count this as a major loss for Texas Tech
Not only do we lose a candidate for the QB starting position next year, but one of the most-liked and hardest workers on the team. Jacob Karam is/was a great motivator for this team, not just words here, but real live actuality. I am in hopes he finds the best possible place for him, wherever that may be. His is a career away from Tech that I will watch with great anticipation and interest.

Speaking of losses
Chris Level just tweeted that we lost another commit. I believe its Okafor. This isnt good.

Well didn't NB say our job is to keep the recruits, here we go.

To be honest, I am hoping
that Scotty Young will transfer to Washington State
Hell, we might lose Brewer. He originally was tagged by Leach.

I don't
We’ll need Young to step in for us when Doege (and/or Tubs) is gone. But I wouldn’t blame him if he did. Man, I’m glad to see the Pirate back in football!
I wish nothing but the best for Karam. I really wish he could have played more this year (he would have helped) and I’m proud of him for getting his degree. Wreck ’em, Jacob!
Best wishes for Jacob Karam....
And congratulations for some outstanding academic achievements!
Thanks for your contributions to Tech… sorry we didn’t get to see you on the field more…
I’ll be cheering for you wherever you land!

Smart and talented and a well rounded person
I hope Jacob Karam is picked up by a team and school where he excels on and off the field.
Best Wishes to him!!!

Good luck, Jacob. I hope life rewardas you for being a good person.
And i hope your football dreams work out for you as well. I am sorry to see you go but wish you the best. Thanks for being a Red Raider! Please be one for life.
I hope he goes to Texas
Texas is desperate for a QB. Karam could start as soon as he is eligible. Does the fact that he just graduated make him immediately eligible somewhere else or does he still have to wait a year? IIRC, a QB from Oregon got in trouble and transferred to Ole Miss and was immediately eligible because the program he wanted was not available at the school from which he was transferring.
