WOW!
Going out for graduation. Definitely stopping by all places and getting closer look. Thanks for the pics.

Great pics!!
I hope they have a good pump and drain system for that basement area at the New Rawls COB. Come monsoon season that area could be under a few feet of water.
These new students are getting very cozy looking seats and massive white boards and media boards to see the notes from the Profs.
It is a very nice looking building and complex.

Nice
That business school is incredible. Nice to see these improvements around the campus.

Rawls looks
A little (a lot) under illuminated. I have to trust that an accomplished photographer would get the lighting right, so why is it so dark in there? More eco-garbage? It’s just cave-like and dark.
Apparently, no one considered that the students shouldn’t have to walk around with flashlights. Something silly happened with that. What were they thinking?
Oh, they put the lighting money into electronic class schedules and associated wiring. Meaningless toys instead of the fundamentals. What a great lesson for buisness majors!
Also, anyone notice glass panels on the staircase? Those will be real nice until someone has a backpack with a carabeiner on it whack the thing (like, I dunno, a college student?) and there’s a shower of glass all over people below. Isn’t there a college of engineering experts- what? A few hundred feet away?
Style over substance all around. Sad to see.
Nice to see the baseball field moving along though. Hope it brings in the crowds.
Im guessing you dont like change ?
Thats a load or criticism. Im sure the lighting will be fine a more natural light is more pleasing than the bright white florescent tubes our my childhood.
I wouldnt worry too much about the glass either, I doubt they just pulled some old plate panels off the rack. Probably a fancy tempered and heat treated glass. You know windows arent just windows anymore either.
Buildings these days are a far cry from just big squares with lights and some AC ducts. The substance and style are indivisible and there is performance built into everything. This isnt your average tilt wall shopping center, or suburbanite tract home

Love your photos
They are a great way to keep up with all the changes on and off campus in Lubbock, really helps with the “culture” shock when I do get out that way.
Can you do a liquor store spread? Its such a shock to see those things sitting right there in the city limits, and maybe some shots of the old (ghost town?) of the strip.
