But how is TCU ranked Top 10 with that record? Weird…ranked on potential. Will probably be there at the end, but not there yet.

RB's

the way that Ronnie Daniels is playing right now…..it is hard to keep him out of the line up. That guy is doing awesome for a true freshman!

Way to go, Ronnie!

Per TT,

Ronnie Daniels is getting better and better. It’s going to be hard to keep him out of the lineup.

I said during my updates last fall that this young man is going to be fun to watch the next four or five years. Barring injury, it’s looking more and more like it will only be four.

Anthony Lynn was that style of runner also.

I think they are related. Also heard Anthony got married this weekend and was at hotel zaza in Dallas …congrats.

What's with the jerky video on the official site?

This is two weeks in a row that the highlights are painful to watch. Can any of you techies out there offer them some suggestions?

Jerky video

why is Gerald being shown?

Jerky Video

One explanation could be because Alicia was not practicing they had her “man” the camera, and he got ‘excited’ during the process….;-p

Watch out

Plik’s working blue today. Ha ha that was funny, but I never featured Pilk of all people to issue that line.

And it won't load.

It pauses all the time. Why can’t we just use youtube. It works and loads quickly. It is so disappointing to have our official video be unwatchable. I don’t have this problem on any other website. Sure Tech doesn’t host the video, but come on… fire whomever does and get someone else.

by logan5555 on Mar 6, 2011 10:59 AM CST up reply actions

Seriously

I just paused for about 5 minutes and it played till about the 2 minute mark and then has started stopping again. This is pathetic.

I don’t think TTU has much control over how CBS loads the content. I think they’re frustrated at this too.

How is CBS involved with the Tech site?

The start-stop-start-stop loading cycle with a period of a second or less occurs with both the tiny video on the main page and the larger version on the video page of the official site.

by TT63 on Mar 6, 2011 1:51 PM CST up reply actions

The site is operated by CBS. Don’t know how or why, but the other official site is operated by CBS (cstv).

Karem and Daniels

This could be interesting as these two start establishing themselves as viable options for starting slots. I am a big Doege fan and still feel he has what it takes to lead Texas Tech, but Karem, if he continues to improve, could unseat him. This kind of competition can only make them both better, thus improving the Red Raider offensive capabilities.

Ronnie Daniels is proving the scouting combines really missed out on him. All of last year he proved over and over how special he was. But these combines pay little attention to New Mexico athletes, something Tech has never done. While most recruits from New Mexico are associated with Red Raider basketball, it is obvious that the footbal is going to have to be looked at a bit closer, especially with the whole state being in Tech’s own back yard. Daniels may surprise everyone and become the starter in the backfield that is THE go-to guy. And it is not like there are any slouches competing with him. This whole group has explosive, quick, fast and powerful runners, all capable of catching passes and creating big plays.

By the 26th, we should have a real good idea of where this team sits. If the defense can continue to play well against this offense, other teams will have problems when playing against Tech. It all bodes well for Tech to have a better than expected (by the media) year. GO TECH!

Man, how about the Lady Raider softball team?! From literally the dregs of the softball world a few seasons ago to a solid top 25 team. Awesome job by the staff and players to build that program.

Nancy James

Why does Don Williams have to bring him up every chance he can when it is not relevant? No one cares about him. Yet anytime he can mention him he devotes 3 sentences to a nobody. Don Williams is terrible.

by logan5555 on Mar 6, 2011 10:59 AM CST reply actions

Get used to it…from what I hear, James will have a MUCH larger role for the team this year.

NUTS - Never Underestimate TEAM Strength

Big XII Tourney

Men’s side:
Thinking about this team reminds of attending an SWC tourney in Reunion arena when Shelby Metcalf was coaching. They were seeded 8th and ended up in the championship game. He was quoted after the first game and said he had to call his to send a change of clothes because he did not pack a suitcase. Not sure what to expect from this team because losing to mizzou by 8 at Columbia is not horrible. However, I am not expecting much to happen.
Women’s side:
Think the women can win against OSU and 0U. Look for a good showing and an NCAA invite from this team.
