Daouda Soumaoro, 6-9, 220-pd PF from Our Savior, has signed with Texas Tech

I've been mentioning this week that Soumaoro was deciding between Washington, Texas Tech and St. John's (I think). Well, Zagoria is reporting that he's signed with Texas Tech. The only thing that comes to my mind, as foolish as it may seem, is that Olajuan was 6-10 and about 220 when he arrived at UofH.

I like that we suddenly can find tall basketball players for our program.

With another signing, the fate of some on the present roster seems fuzzy at best.

This youngster is raw as they come, but his frame, length, long arms, etc. will all enable him to become that dominant inside force we all thought we had when Big Lew signed, but never materialized. The coming season will be very interesting to follow, but, like the football team, 2012 could be awesome.
