Seth Doege, Texas Tech, QB, Jr, Lubbock, Texas
Seth Doege set an NCAA record against New Mexico as he completed 40-of-44 passes for 401 yards and five touchdowns in the 59-13 win. With just four incomplete passes (all four in the endzone), he surpassed former Texas Tech quarterback Kliff Kingsbury, who set the previous NCAA mark by completing 49-of-59 passes at Texas A&M on Oct. 5, 2002. Doege started the game with 15 consecutive completions which tied a school record set last season by Taylor Potts in the first half of Tech's win over Baylor at the Cotton Bowl. He completed 11 straight passes before the game went into a 51-minute lightning delay. Following the delay, Doege completed another four consecutive passes to tie the school record. The 401 yards and five touchdown passes marked career highs.

Congrats to Seth Doege
He earned this because of his relentless dedication and hard work over the last four years.

Doege is Doege is the Bear is the Bear
"I feel sorry for the guys," Tech head coach Tommy Tuberville said. "They fought hard tonight. We didn't look good on offense or defense at times, and at times we looked pretty good. It's just, I don't know. Weird game.
I know we haven't played anyone of significance but
doege seems to be far and away better than Potts. I think he has better pocket awareness and makes better decisions.

Doege is looking as good as Harrell ever did at this point.
Not bad for a kid who was written off the books by many who thought he was a cripple……or who thought he couldn’t play because he had not played much since he was a jr / soph in HS.
What were those two coaching staffs thinking ?? Who was that guy who honored a scholarship offer ?
Seth has done the work, it is all on him, to get to this point…he led the offense during the off season with their practices, he led in the locker room, he stands in front of a camera and speaks with clarity of thought and recognition for all who have contributed to the current accomplishments…
He a Guns Up Guy !!!
Living large in Texas...Texas forever.
Only four incompletions!
And two of those were to…Ms. James? Also, notice #82 had a real bonehead offsides call near the goal line, for which he was promptly yanked.
at which time Tubbys cell phone received a text msg
reminding him who Nancy is and that it doesn’t matter if he can’t catch or block we need him on the field or you can be on the next swiftboat outa here.
Nancy was immediately sent back in the game.
