his request seems very logical to me, but I am way biased.

Read the letter and it seems Leach is more than reasonable in this offer.
Simple rule of thumb: Everything before the but is BS.
I agree but
I’d doubt Hance, etc. will agree to his request. They seem content to dragging this thing out.
Agreeing would imply at least a partial admission of guilt
and the powers at Tech may perceive this as a surrender of sorts by Leach. If this is Leach’s last request as it were then they clearly feel they have the upper hand and hence to ignore him is to force him into a “next move” which I imagine they feel he does not have. To agree to give him ANY remuneration is, in their minds I think, a signal to Leach and the public that they feel they indeed acted incorrectly—and I get the impression they do not feel that way. Also, the ‘just give me the money owed and I’ll walk away" scenario sounds gracious on Leach’s part, but remember that amount should be around $2million.
and we all know that $2mil would be better spent on
4 more years (remember the $500k raise) of tubs

Henniger seems like a badass, mounted a Sports Ilustrated pelt on the wall already. Your in the cross hairs now CJ, hope you didn’t spend all your money on campaign ads…

Very disappointing and discouraging
Tech’s attitude toward Leach’s letter just makes me sad. The fact that they won’t even meet is beyond the pale.
I would pick up the phone and call Hance, but I’m pretty sure he’s not taking my calls these days…

I'm with you on this one ...
Even if Mike told them to f* off during a contentious exchange, you regroup, let him go, and honor the contract.
I think Hance and Co. took all of this way too personally, have inflated sense of worth, and have wafer thin skin. Though they won the battle with Leach, they have lost the war with me.

It is just of our leaders not being able to the forest because of all of the trees. The cost of the lost good will far exceeds what it would have cost to pay off the contract in full.

Arrogance, thy name is Hance
Dr-Cane articulated a view that I agree with and as Az.Raider says, this administration has lost a war or right and wrong with me. I look forward to any further legalities besmirching their sanctimonious reputations and home the proposed HBO documentary makes Tech look as bad as it deserves to be seen and known.
Yep
I sincerely hope that the HBO show brings out all the crap and exposes Hance for his wrongdoings.

Pay Him
Hance continues to make it hard to be loyal to Tech. He has been this way since Delt days. His boys continue to follow this character. Until Mike gets paid, it will be very hard for the complete fanbase to move forward. We can blame Tuberville, etc but the the problem is Hance. Follow him from his early 60s days and one will see nothing has changed. As the deposistions continue to be released the slime will continue to get very slippery. Kent – We didn’t graduate from Tech to learn how to screw people.
Ashamed
I’m ashamed at what the leadership at Tech have done to my University. With people like Hance and tuBS, it’s very hard to defend our great University from fans from other schools that constantly crap on us.
