TTU will run RG3 ad in Waco Trib.
Tubs has tweetered that TTU will run a full page ad in the Waco Trib. It will congratulate RG3 on his Heisman. Seem a little pointless to you? It does to Tech to!
Here is the full URL: http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/text/genrel/auto_pdf/2011-12/misc_non_event/RG3-AD.pdf
Note the "miscellaneous non event" part. If we all agree on that, then... Why? Not sure what they hope to accomplish.

$27 an inch
I’m sure it’s $27 an inch to advertise in the waco Tribune so Tubs is out about $800, it’s a nice gesture. RG3 is a stand up dude and represented the big 12 with what we all hope our athletes would hope to be. I’m ok with this
I still think tubs is a weak minded individual and is a terrible motivator
Yes, a nice gesture and I get that.
They don’t just give those away in a happy meal, and that’s the point- winning the Heisman isn’t enough publicity or recognition? The Heisman is all about publicity and recognition. The guy has spectacular grades and is going to the NFL.
Outside of RG3 I suppose I have a very low opinion of Baylor and their athletes, but that’s not what is at work here.
Its a moment of “woohoo” in everybody’s life and then… they go back to what they were doing.
Theres gotta be something else at work here where the impact would be noticed.
Maybe he is trying to telegraph to the world just how much he likes the dual-threat quarterbacks?
Does he think he may be able to hire Art Briles as an OC?
Recruiting
"Appreciate the target you put on my back. Last time you did that, you almost got me fired." Tommy Tuberville 2006
Seems pointless. Congrats to rg3. He is a great player and seems to be a stand up man but what’s the point. Oh well, if that’s what it is I’m ok with it.
Get your kicks, on route 66...
I think everyone is more or less okay with it- just a little confused.
quite a non-traditional maneuver, and the motivations aren’t apparent.
If it were a bad thing there would be lots of yelling and footstomping which really hasn’t happened. (Yet?)
It's great and all... but...
- - it’s late, isn’t it? I mean at this point, it’s bigtime old news that RGIII won the Heisman.
- - Has any other school ever done this? Why would we? I honestly can’t see that we gain anything from it. So… honest question… WHY?
I can't help but wonder....
if Tuberville would purchase a billboard for one of his own players if they received the Heisman.

Yeah, who knows?
Though, rumor has it. he once commissioned a statue in the likeness of his favorite weatherman.
I think that it would depend on if the player was one of “his” players.
Simple rule of thumb: Everything before the but is BS.
