Apparently he hasn't passed.
I’m getting to where I cannot stand the media.

Yes, that's what I've seen on twitter too, KWash...
very strange…especially from a major network like CBS.

Not yet
Media websites, plus TV, says he’s still alive. However, the reports of his family being summoned to “say a final goodbye” and report that he’d been taken off a respirator make it seem that the end isn’t far off. A major PSU fan website had it editor resign last night for prematurely reporting JoePa’s death.
Don’t think the end is far off.
Does this mean...
…that Tech92 will have to resign too since he prematurely reported the death of JoePa???

Na!
92’s too much fun to run him off. I like his weird sense of humor-“reminds me of me!” (My favorite John Wayne line from True Grit.) He fits in well with all the rest of us wacky people!
The resigned editor was with a PSU student publication, “allegedly.” Kind of hard to know what’s actually happening in the fog of a breaking story like this.
Last post of the night
Time for bed-interesting to see what the news is in the morning.
Phew!
I like Tech92 too, even though he’s a bit, “different”… ;-)

Whoops!
That should say “had its editor resign last night…” That’s what happens when I post too late at night!
Maybe the rumors of his demise
‘are greatly exaggerated.’
Apologies...was being reported all over the internet, so I published.
Unfortunately, I am not in a position to confirm reports from what I consider fairly reputable news organizations (CBS). Long live Joe!

I'm still lobbying for the "allegedly" font.

These things happen
Am not surprised that some organizations reported it prematurely. But it was obvious it wasn’t going to be long, and it wasn’t. In wartime, this kind of confusion is known as the “fog of war.”
Great Coach in spite of the scandal

I saw it, too. You are right, though....
He was a great coach. It is too bad the sex scandal has clouded his regime. While it caused me to lose a bit of respect for him, I still feel he was one of the best ever. May he rest in peace.

Sad news
My grandfather was a Penn state alum and I can remember him watching Joe pa on TV when I was a little kid. That was one coach who loved football spanning a long career. So sad he had to go out of this world with so much scandal. RIP Joe pa.

RIP JoePa
Shame his career ended this way, after so much he did that was good. One of the last of the coaching giants. Reminds me of when Bear Bryant died 29 years ago this month, only a month after his last game.

Lets all just remember the 40+ years of great football and
great students he gave us.
