Tech lost to Iowa State in Ames, IA 66-49
Just a very messy game in which the Lady Raiders had a lack of focus and energy.
It seemed as though the only player doing anything was Monique Smalls (13 pts)
Tech's number one scorer, Kierra Mallard, had zero points in this game

I hope Curry hasn’t lost the team. I’ve been impressed with them this year until now—but something indeed has happened.
I haven't had a chance to see the team play much
but I sure hope that was an uncharacteristically rough outing. Poor shooting and rebounding; out-hustled at times. And the offense looked stagnant and purposeless.
Turn it around, ladies!

It makes me wonder if they ever really believed in who they were
If you don’t really “own” your status as a national contending program and don’t believe that you have what it takes to earn your way to the top, a couple of bumps in the road is often all it takes to knock you off the wagon. This team went from being average to being pretty dang good in a short period of time, and I’m not sure they were convinced that they really had what it takes to be where they were.

They were on such a roll and now can’t seem to pull out of the free fall. A close loss at OU should have been just a bump. But then they really let one get away vs. KSU at home. That’s followed by the Baylor loss (no shame in that). They can’t rebound from that and play flat @ ISU. Now a stretch that should have been at least 2-2 is 0-4 and suddenly the season is in jeopardy. Next one is @ KU (15-3, 4-2) so it doesn’t get any easier.

They seem to have lost their confidence
I am not sure if some of them were not feeling well or there is a riff or they have just lost their confidence and spunk to win
