Two or Three Stars?

Seth did a great write up not long ago about the rating system. I found it interesting that RRS lists Conner as a 3-Star Prospect; Rivals a 2-Star. Yet he is walking on as a preferrered. Looks like the best offer her had, aside from Tech, was Houston and Kansas.

Regardless, welcome Mr. Groom!

Yes, I could not find a profile on ESPN, but was a 3-star on Rivals and 24/7 Sports, but a 2-star on Scout. I’ll try to find an ESPN profile tonight.

This is a surprise

It is also a great find that few schools saw. With scholarships offers from other schools, he really had no reason to walk on at Tech. But he loved Tech, and made that decision. Like Jameson said, the guy looks to be a beast. If he is strong as he looks, he could help immediately. Having played at the TE slot in high school as a junior, he could be someone to look at for certain plays at Tech. He would not necessarily need to catch many passes to be extremely effective in the overall scheme. Nice find for the staff. Welcome aboard, Connar Groom. GUN’S UP!
