Tweet from David Just - Ronnie Daniels Re-instated

AJ_DavidDavid Just on Twitter. "Texas Tech RB Ronnie Daniels has been reinstated after being suspended for the final 10 games last year". I don't know if this means Daniels has resolved all of his "issues" or not. But with the lack of depth at running back, we need him on the depth chart. I guess we'll see this play out during spring training. Coupled with the announcement that Marquez would see some playing time at running back, it should be an interesting battle for the starting position. There are no guarantees that Eric is going to return completely "whole" after that injury, so we need Daniels back in body, mind and soul.

Spring is going to be more a time of experimentation than hard development.

That is the story behind Marquez for example, trying him there to see what he can do…kind of a safety net for depth.

I am really happy for Daniels, his position coach let on yesterday that he was back. This kid can have a future and there are a lot of us who want to see him get there.

As well as Ronnie looked a year ago in the Spring, he might be even better this year

After seeing, but not participating in the offense last year, I hope he really comes out hungry to make an impact. Welcome back RD.

I don’t know what he did to earn the suspension but I hope he comes back this season a new man.

Im looking forward to seeing him play.
I heard marquez will go back to running back as well.

RB Crews ! & I love watching Marquez play

Kenny Williams
Bradley Marquez
Eric Stephens
Ronnie Daniels

My guess is that Stephens will take to at least mid-season to get back in form, and a one-two punch of Williams and Marquez will be very effective then RD/ES as the breather/late season fresher legs.

Marquez has such a burst, with enough reps his vision will improve and its right through the third level and to the house!

Don''t forget Deandre Washington

The RB slot may be a whole lot better this year. Now I hope the defense improves immensely.

I never though Stephens could get there, but with enough reps his speed was getting to a point to be effective, the other guys will get there too. Just not sure there is enough reps to get them all up to speed, literally

and thats one of those things that irritates the shit out of me with the new regime
………….the wasting of game reps, to “protect” some lame 10pt lead

We are in good hands

I washington, daniels, Williams, are all great running backs.
We just need the O-line to open up holes.

I like the Young Depth

I love the idea of moving Marquez to RB. The guy was a stud in high school and showed last year he has the ability to be a great playmaker. I also like that it opens up a spot for our new WR’s to battle for. I hope all this new talent and expirence will lead to more wins in 2012! WRECK EM!!
