We always get screwed on the bye week. WV at home sounds like a fun game.

bye week looks ok, 3 non-conf games and then a bye before starting league play

Posted Schedule Above Not Quite Right
West Virginia on Oct 13th. Not Oct 20. Whew. I had to check that twice as I made reservations for the 13th before seeing the wrong schedule above and got me riled up thinking I made a mistake.
Dear lord
Oklahoma-Texas is gonna be such a hard stretch of games considering WVU, TCU and K-State are inbetween.
Shawn Johnson... she's a nice lady
And Iowa State
probably won’t be a cake walk either. I’m probably going to have nightmares about that six game stretch tonight.

Family Weekend is the New Mexico game Sept 15th
What happened to our 2nd bye-week??

...this ain't no picnic.
Tough schedule from my perspective. Eight bowl opponents to handle. I think 7 wins would be a “win” this year given the state of the program at the end of 2011.
Hoping the boys – and coaches – get a LOT better (and healthier) by the time September rolls around or we could be in for a longer season than last year. But I have hope we will improve while others will possibly fall off a bit. Baylor should have some issues on offense by losing their QB, top RB and top WR in 2012.
11/12/11...66-6...I once was blind, but now I see.
I dont mind 7 wins
but if we lose, i don’t want to see any 66-7 blowouts. Like last year against OSU.
Precisely
Every game (W or L) needs to show that progress is being made.
First to play in the land of the "couch burners"
Baylor is the sacrificial lambs … they are the first to play the West Virginia Mountaineers in Morgantown, WV. I wonder how the Baylor fans will handle the "couch burning" WV fans ??

Pay-back …. Hope we give and don’t get
I hope we pay Iowa State back on Sept 29th
But I hope we do not get pay-back from OU the next weekend (Oct 6th)
The DTN members that live in the DFW area technically get two games this year. TCU (Oct 20th) and the Baylor (Nov 24th ) game

This schedule is very good for DFW area Tech fans. I wish I was going to be there.

Love that not everyone is whining here.
We’ll certainly find out if the team is up to the task of contending for the B12 with that stretch from Oklahoma to the Texas game.

I'll start the whining :) ...
Brutal schedule … KU is the only one that I really feel confident about. For a young, injury-prone team with a slew of new defense coaches implementing a third system with a third set of vocabulary in three years, our special teams whoa’s, and a HC that insists to be a part of the offensive playcalling, it’s going to be a steep uphill climb.
I can see our season getting out of hand rather quickly, if the coaches and players don’t have their heads screwed on straight. On the other hand if the coaches and players have their heads screwed on straight and get a couple conference wins early, we will be dangerous.

I'll continue the whining
I don’t see a whole lot of Big 12 wins with that schedule and this coaching staff. Struggle/lose to Iowa St, get blown out by OU and I don’t see the fans filling up the Jones for the final 3 home games.

What's the consensus?
Do the additions (TCU, WVU) and the subtractions (Mizzou, A&M) result in a net INCREASE or DECREASE in the overall schedule difficulty?
Someone should poll this question. But, I think it is an obvious increase in difficulty.

Hmmm... Well, we lost to both Mizzou and A&M last year...
If it is a net increase in difficulty… I hope we have improved a lot since last season…
