I don't really like Sports by brooks and I have been one of the people on here who is tired of hearing about Leach, but this story is gaining some traction.

Heard radio personalities in Austin wanting to personally apologize to Leach for their unfair judgment of him before they knew the whole story and said this makes them see the entire situation differently.

Nothing really new in it, stuff we already know just gaining more national attention.

The other thing Leach has going for him is his uncanny ability to milk the most out of his quarterbacks, be he be Kliff Kingsbury or Taylor Potts.

But Washington State rolled the dice, and they came up Mike Leach, the most innovative, eccentric head coach in college football. After filing lawsuits against his former school, Texas Tech, ESPN and Craig James, writing a book that he said has been bought by 50,000 folks, fishing for mutton snapper and black-fin tuna in the Keys and working a national talk-radio show, the 50-year-old Leach returns to the sidelines.

But Leach is back, and college football is better for it.

"It depends," Leach said. "During the season, if you ask me on a Sunday how we're going to do, I'd say I don't know if we can beat Pullman High. By Friday, I'm pretty sure we can beat the Giants."

No games if aTm doesnt play Tech in all sports.."We discussed it with all our head coaches," Hocutt told the Journal, "and that's something we as an athletic department and we as a group of coaches feel strongly about at this time."

Only one student-athlete is honored from each of the 10 Big 12 Conference institutions based on his/her academics, community service and leadership/sportsmanship. The student-athlete must maintain a 3.0 GPA, be involved with at least one community service program and should demonstrate leadership and sportsmanship on and off the playing field or court.
