Texas Tech Saturday Morning Notes - Crabtree Dominates Postseason Edition

Texas Tech Football:

First things first, freshman receiver Michael Crabtree was earns consensus All-American status. Consensus status is defined as follows, per LAJ's Don Williams:

Consensus status is conferred on players who make a majority of the five teams recognized by the NCAA - The Associated Press, The Sporting News, the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and the Walter Camp all-America team.

Crabtree was named first team in the Sporting News, to the Walter Camp, and to the American Football Coaches Association first teams.

A pretty interesting commentary from Tulsa World's Dave Sittler, about how how Coach Leach and his demonstrative opinions on all matters BCS would be the Pac-10's worst nightmare. Certainly an interesting read this morning.

Go get that second cup of coffee and enjoy SAEN's Tim Griffin's Big 12 Insider.
